Probably close to $600 a month for 2 adults and a preteen. Of course, my husband is a very picky eater that won't touch a vegetable (he is skinny fat) so he eats a lot of take out. I cook all of my meals at home and do eat a lot of Smart Ones for lunch (because they are easy and yummy!) but I have noticed since I stopped…

Hello!! 5'2 and 3/4" here! (Yes,I DO count that 3/4!) I joined MFP at the end of January, so February is my first true month at trying the site and adapting to my better-late-than-never lifestyle. I quit smoking November 1st, 2011 and decided its time to change my life. I actually have dropped 10 lbs, which doesn't feel…

I have never worked with free weights so it will be brand new. I just noticed on most people's posts about the weights they mentioned that they…

Thanks for this!!! I have only been working out about 4 months and never before in my life! I really enjoy the cardio and had some weight lifting (machine weights) sessions with a personal trainer (courtesy of joining the gym) but I didn't really like it. After reading this, I believe I will give it another shot. I have a…

This! I work in a very small office...as in the refrigerator is next to my freakin' desk. I have held strong for about a month now because I am so determined. My boss keeps one of those big bags of mini candies (Butterfingers and such) in the fridge and comes by occasionally to get one. The other day the only other female…

Hey er'body! I have never worn single digit pants size in my entire adult life so to be in a 9 or less would be amazing...but for now I am shooting for a 12! I think I had pretty hot curves around that size! Good luck to everyone on your hopes, dreams and missions!

^I had to look up what the heck a stone was...apparently is it about 14 lbs. 4 of those is awesome!! And I agree with the other response...I can't get too hung up on the numbers. Just know that I feel better and am fitting into my clothes better!

I totally understand!! I had a bad day yesterday as well and I just have to take my butt to the gym today, work extra hard and don't give up! I look at it like we aren't perfect...if we were, we probably wouldn't be on this website! Good luck to you!!!!

My husband and I are both of Irish descent and are PROUD! He was born in South Boston,Mass and I somehow ended up in the south (in America),but we LOVE the Irish!!! Good luck to everyone with their goals!!!

I quit smoking November 1, 2011 and my fat pants (size 18) got too tight... I have always been 'thick' but for once in my life I want to wear 'skinny' clothes. I want to wear a bathing suit to the beach and be comfortable. I need to be a role model for my 12 year old that is developing exactly like her mother...

Me too!!! I don't use sugar but I love the Italian Sweet Creme or Creme Brulee..its my one thing that just am not ready to give up!

YES!!!! Thanks for all the great advice in this thread. It was EXACTLY what I needed today!!!

I love all these posts!! Can't wait to reach some of these moments!!! I have had one so far: Twice a week I have been huffing and puffing through cardio classes with a tough (and wonderful) instructor. I never give up no matter how hard she pushes me! Finally, the other night, one of the 'fit' chicks said "this is a really…

I'm with you on that one! I am a couponer (not extreme!) and love a bargain! I always thought eating healthy was just too expensive, but its not! Good luck to all of us on our life changes!!!

Congrats! You look great! And that baby is just too adorable!!

That is kind of what I figured but wanted to make sure! Thanks!

I do the same thing! Love the classes and pay sooo little a month for a combo of everything! I don't care what the other people there think about me! I'm there for me!! (Plus my home is too small to be jumping around and such.)

LOL!!!

I feel your pain! My SW is 211 CW 206 (wooptydoo!) but I struggle through the aerobics classes at the gym. I also walk on the treadmill and do the stationary bike. I just do my best in the cardio classes (which is starting to pay off, meaning it takes more work to get out of breath) and stay motivated. I've even had some of…
