I've gotten all three shots of the series and while nothing bad happened to me personally, I wish I would have researched it better. It only protects you against four of the strains of HPV, and there are numerous others you aren't protected against. You still have a chance of getting infected with one of those other…

You look amazing! And I noticed that we live in the same city :)
-
We don't have any specific weekly challenges, but you are free to see a challenge for yourself, and then let us know :)
-
I really like this idea! even if there isn't a prize :P

Only a 0.4 loss, but considering my horrible eating this weekend, I'll take it. I just realized I have less than ten pounds to go :) beethedreamer...........................181.4...............................................174.2..................................................165…

I ran sockless once because I had forgotten them. Worst idea ever, for my feet at least. I had blisters and couldn't run without pain until they healed. Personally, the type of socks I wear for running, as long as I'm wearing something to protect my feet from my shoes. BUT, if it works for you, then do it! :)

Congrats Catherine! It's so amazing to realize running isn't as bad as we once thought it was :P

Great job everyone! I love that y'all are sticking with the challenge :) In the two weeks since I last weighed in, I lost about 4 pounds, which I'm pretty excited about! As long as I stay on track with my eating, I have no doubt I will meet my goal!…

P.S. Everyone is doing really well, the loses are great this week!

I've never done the whole reward thing, mostly because I didn't think it was necessary. But I actually figured out a goal for myself for this challenge :) If I reach 165 by the end of the year, I am rewarding myself with a pair of Toms shoes. It's not super extravagant or anything, but it's something I've wanted, but…

welcome! That's unfortunate that you won't be able to go on your vacation, but you'll be getting fit and healthy for life. So when the opportunity for a nice vacation happens again, you'll already look fantastic :)
-
Of course you can join! Anyone is welcome to joinn anytime during the challenge. Just add your name to the list with your current weight and your goal weight for the end of the year. Weigh ins are on Mondays, so you just update then. :)

I just wanted to let y'all know that I won't be weighing in tomorrow. I dropped my scale this morning and apparently that made it stop working, oops :P But I weighed in at 178.4 yesterday morning, so it was probably going to be a maintenance week anyways. I will be getting a new scale this week, so I will be able to post…

Thanks everyone! I'm thinking about putting these pictures as the background to my computer so I have constant reminder of where I have come from :)

I also agree with this. We are all different, so what works for me, might not work for you and vice versa. It's all about experimentation and figuring out what works for your own body.

I usually eat around 1200 to 1400 a day depending on how hungry I am. There are days I eat a bit more, but it doesn't effect my weight too much. I actually lose weight at a pretty constant rate when I'm actually eating healthy and exercising.

totally thought this said "emergency bacon"....oops :P

I was actually just thinking about this today! I really want to create a bootcamp style workout that I can do outside or something. I'm looking into it right now :)
-
@CherokeeTopaz: Everyone is welcome! :) Just add your name and info to the chart, weigh-ins are on Mondays :) And I just wanted to come clean about something going on with me right now. The past two days, my eating has been horrible. Yesterday it was fine during the day, but I overate last night. And today has just been…

I know you said you would be creating a spread sheet, and it would be updated every other day. Does that mean we get to see it today? I'm just wondering, not pestering :)
-
I'm glad to see everyone weighing in today and posting their weights :D Anyone is welcome to join at any point during the challenge, just make sure your goal weight is attainable! I did have a pretty good loss of 3 pounds this week. However, on Friday and Saturday, I was 176.6 both mornings, but I had a little mini binge…

Very well thought out challenge! 1. 176.6 2. 172 3. 1.5 pounds a week 4. Week#1: stay under 2000mg sodium, Week#2: 15 glasses of water, Week#3: exercise daily

I think taking breaks lead to falling off the wagon, especially for a lot of us. If you want to have a little cheat, you can work it into your calories. But it just say "forget it" and give in to a day long temptation is just telling yourself that this isn't a lifelong change. If you want to have something that isn't the…

Everyone is welcome! The more the merrier :) And I'm willing to post pictures at the end too. Anyone else wanting to can as well. Thanks for the idea Leobaby!

um everything. haha. usually chips or cookies. sometimes a whole fast food meal. Yes a 1000 calorie meal in between lunch and dinner. I am not surprised about how I got here.
-
My brother has asked me the same thing! I haven't actually ran a race yet, but have signed up for two, and I'm beyond excited. Just being able to run with people who have a common interest and goal really motivates me. Worth every penny :)
-
Yay, I'm so glad all of you are participating. I was also thinking that in order to get to know each other a little more, we could all post a little about ourselves and our long term fitness goals. I'll start: My name is Brittany, and I'm a twenty year old college student. I still live at home with my parents but I do my…

This is the form we are going to use. Just add your name after the last person and add your info. Your starting weight will be whatever you weigh tomorrow, and that stays the same through the whole challenge. Your current weight will be the one changing each week. I haven't added my starting weight yet since I'm weighing…
