  • I'm on my second round of 30DS and for the most part I push through the pain. The first time I did it I was in a lot of pain the first week. But your body will adapt as long as you stick with it and push through it.
  • In these instances I find something to do. Go for a walk, do laundry, clean, etc. Anything that can keep me busy for awhile. This usually helps because when I eat and I'm not hungry it's usually from boredom.
  • I've always logged it under "Circuit Training-general". Some say the calories are a bit overestimated but it should give you a rough idea of what you're burning.
  • Nope. My portions are what they are. The only person I'm hurting in the end is myself by doing that.
  • This is why I set mini goals for myself. My first mini goal was 30 lbs. down by September 15th and I've already reached that so I'm ahead of the game. :) My next is 50 lbs. total by December 15th. And treating yourself along the way helps too. A new top, a meal out, etc. Time is going to pass either way. You can either…
  • The day I stepped on the scale and saw a number I never want to see again. I had talked about losing weight prior to that day but that's when it all finally clicked and I got serious about it. Some days I'm still surprised I'm actually doing this but I am so thankful that I am.
  • Look up local playgroups in your area to get out of the house. Or if you feel yourself getting into a funk go out for a walk. Getting out seems to help me. I also know quite a bit of people swear by prelogging their food/meals. I do this from time to time and it really helps me stay on track throughout the day. Having a…
  • I have Mirena in place and have lost 31 lbs. since mid April so I don't think it is holding me back any. I've also never had any bad side effects from it. Everyone's body will react differently, some good and some bad.
  • I've had Mirena placed with both of my kids. I had no weight issues after my son but after I had my daughter my weight shot up quite a bit. I'm not convinced it was from Mirena, though. I look back and my eating habits were horrible(i.e. a large chocolate shake 4 times a week....). I still have it in and have been steadily…
  • When I started I had 100 lbs. I'm down almost 30 now and I'm getting through it by setting smaller goals. My first goal was to lose 30 lbs. by September 15th and I'm so happy to see myself almost there now! My second goal is 50 lbs.(in total) by Christmas and then I'm halfway there already. :) I think if you break it down…
  • I second Jack Stack! We lived in KC for about three years and it was one of our favs. The prices are very reasonable and the food is great.
  • Yes, I do believe it does work! This is the first time where I've tried losing weight and have seen consistent results. I've only been tracking since mid April and am down 26 lbs. Which, for me, is huge. Plus there are a ton of other people basically doing it with you. You can't beat the support that's offered here.
  • I just want to say I LOVE your positive attitude! I think that is one of the biggest keys in being successful. You are doing it! Keep up the fantastic work.
  • I set a 50 lb. weight loss goal for Christmas as well. I think it's doable as long as you stick with it!
  • I eat what I like. I've learned to not eat so much of it and to eat it in moderation but if I want a cookie or some ice cream then I eat it and make sure it fits into my calories. For me this is the first time I've viewed my weight loss as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I don't dread losing the weight because I'm…
  • Thank you, I needed to read/see this today! I've been in a rut these past couple of days and the scale showed a 1 lb. gain today. It's posts like these that make me stop throwing a pity party and get back to work. And you look fantastic!
  • This. I still want to enjoy and indulge in foods I like. I'm just learning to eat a little less of them. :) So I am for weigh ins on Fridays and if I "mess up" a little on the weekend then I have all week to get myself back on track.
  • I put the eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Then I put them on the stove just until the water is boiling. After that I take them off the heat, cover with a lid, and let them set for 11 minutes. Then I put the eggs in a bowl of ice water just until I'm able to handle them. If you peel them under running water it…
  • I'm down 22 lbs. and have been working at it since mid April.
  • I do my workouts at home. For me it is much easier and I have no excuses then! I've done Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and now am doing her Ripped in 30 Days. I do alternate the two so I'm not always doing the same thing(I get bored that way). That in conjuction with MFP and my husband doing it with me is working for me.
