Chop sweet potato, sprinkle with olive oil, then roast in oven at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. Saute onions and peppers. Prepare Quinoa following package directions. Mix vegetables together, add in 1/4 cup chicken stock. I mix cranberries, chopped walnuts (roasted), celery for a great salad.

My theory about weekend binging is our tendency (and need) to turn off our brains over the weekends. In general all of us work so hard all week long and have so much depending upon what we do or what we accomplish that on the weekends we need time to turn off and relax, and in so doing let our defences down. Unfortunately,…

Sounds great. I too am new to this Paleo way of eating. I am an older woman and in that stage of life where losing weight is nearly impossible. I am currently at about 80/20. Dairy not a problem, grains I don't miss, except went out for dinner last night and ate whole wheat bread. I will plan better next time out. I…

My goal as I get older, and hopefully wiser, is to always keep an open mind. Vitamin D is huge on the medical scene these days. Evidently we (we being me and the entire human race in my pocket) have been Vit D deficient and scientists are just discovering just how important the extra Vitamin D can be to our well being. New…

Dr. Oz has practiced cardiac medicine longer than you have been alive! Nearing the end of his surgical career, my guess is he chose to go in a direction that would offer the best benefit, using his medical knowledge and experience, and expressing it in a common language to reach as many people as possible. Now if think…

Doritos. I hate the smell of them! I want to puke every time I see the package! It doesn't matter what the flavor may be...ranch (yukko!!!). If I had to choose between being fat or eating Doritos, I would choose being fat!

Coming from someone who's been around a few years, this is a young woman's issue. You know you've reached adulthood when situations like this only give you pause for thought and then make you laugh.
