You're so lucky to be in India now. How about treating yourself to day trips to wonderful sights while you're there; some wonderful Indian jewellery, a special sari or scarf, sandals. Have fun.

Congratulations on your progress! You are certainly an inspiration.

You might consider weighing/measuring and entering your food into your diary. (I couldn't see any entries on your site) What you think you're eating and exercising may not be the case. Consider an appointment with your school or public health nutritionist or dietician. You could likely get an appointment much sooner. Good…

If you cook, there are some awesome lower fat Mexican (and other) recipes on The Picky Eater and Skinnytaste web sites.

Now that's an accomplishment! Congratulations!

Congratulations on your hard earned success. You are an inspiration to me.

Hello Barbie and all. I am new to your group and have tried to read all of the December posts. My name is Brenda, from Toronto. Recently, I retired and I am looking forward to the next chapter in life. I've been with MFP for over a year and am looking to finish what I started. In December, I will walk at least twice a week…

Congratulations! You look great and I'll bet that you feel much better. You're an inspiration for me.

I would bring it to work and leave it in the kitchen. What doesn't disappear after a day, can be thrown out there.
-
Thanks for the suggestions! I just happen to have Brussels Sprouts and chestnuts in the kitchen and will make them up tonight.

Congratulations. You're an inspiration!

As someone formerly like your husband, I can tell you that the motivation had to come from within. He's in a high stress job and works nights - both tough to handle. If he's not getting enough sleep, and eats to compensate, that is also a factor. If you are the primary cook, there are plenty of great websites where you can…

I'm not familiar with that establishment but Eggs Benedict consists of an english muffin, ham, poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Use MFP's database to add up the calories and then you can decide for yourself if you want to indulge. If you can ask for the hollandaise on the side, you could enjoy the taste but not all the…

The California Raisins in claymation - does anyone know where I can get a copy? Love Actually Scrooge with Albert Finney The Bishop's Wife - with David Niven and Cary Grant A Christmas Story Happy watching!

I am going to log, to see where I stand at the end of the day(s). It can't hurt to stay informed. The holidays are also about family and friends - not just food. Last year, (I hadn't yet joined MFP) and Christmas was just the start of the holiday "madness". I don't want a repeat of that - I've come too far.

When you sip on ice and snow you get up and keep walking. So, get up and keep walking :)

Well done Shabl Scorpion, just put one foot in front of the other. There's no magic - except for the great Community on MFP. Good luck!
-
Kudos to you! A GREAT NSV!

Great question! 1. Take a ride in the Lancaster Bomber. 2. Send heartfelt thanks to my MFP friends. 3. New clothes and shoes.
-
Congratulations on the weight you have lost already! All is not lost. Try not to let this minor gain get out of proportion. Just put one foot in front of the the other. With MFP, you really can just let the math do its job and the weight will come off. The other great thing about MFP is the Community - take a few minutes…

Thanks for posting this. It's a good reminder at any time but especially now with the Christmas holidays looming ahead. Enjoy responsibly, then get back on the bandwagon.
