I have 3 children (6, 4 and 21 months) and I drink a lot of coffee, and it hasn't slowed down my weight loss at all. My 21 month old has never slept through the night, and I work as a teacher, so caffeine is kind of essential lol. I just have milk in it, but obviously if you have loads of sugar it's not the best option.…

I exercise 4-5 times most weeks, and 6-7 times during school holidays (I'm a teacher). I try to vary what I do so I don't get bored of it. I do a lot of circuits classes, and they're different each day. Yesterday for example I did a core class followed by HIIT and both were using kettlebells, but that won't be the case…

I hear a lot of people say 'exercise is for fitness, eating a deficit is for weight loss' but I personally lose weight much faster when I exercise. Plus exercise gives me a great shape, which eating less alone would not do. Exercise also helps create a calorie deficit, although I don't think it burns as many calories as…

I've had 3 children and I always lose from the top down, so my lower half is the last place for it to go, but it does go eventually. I hold my weight in my hips and thighs. My youngest is 21 months now and I'm still not completely back to where I was, but I'm not far off. I just keep active, work out a lot and eat…

I'm fairly sure no-one thinks spreadable chocolate is a health food. Saying that, there's an advert (commercial) here in the UK suggesting that it's a good idea to give your kids Nutella on toast for breakfast. Obviously it's Nutella's own advert! I've always read food labels. I think the UK is stricter about food labels…

I've had 3 babies and I still feel like a beached whale sometimes! My youngest is 21 months today. I reckon I've lost around 50lbs since I had her. I have around 15lbs I'd like to lose still. I was always back in the gym at 6 weeks with all 3. I do find losing baby weight takes me ages.

I don't find cereal filling at all, and Special K has lots of sugar in it. The only cereal I ever eat is weetabix (I buy it for my kids and sometimes eat it if I'm in a hurry) Eggs don't take long...poached, scrambled, omelette etc...and they fill you up. I've been making ham omelette for breakfast.

I never would've thought selling pizza would be stressful, but I suppose any job dealing with the public can be. I'm a secondary school teacher in a pretty rough school. I teach French to kids who can barely spell in their own language and who have never left their home town, so it's very stressful, not to mention teachers…

Go to the gym on your way back from work, or go to a class in the evening. I'm tired, I have 3 young children (the youngest is 20 months and has never slept all night) and I work as a teacher, so not only am I at work all day but I have to come home and do more work, but I still find the time to work out. My husband does…

South East England. Currently marking a set of year 9 books (well, avoiding it by looking on MFP lol).

I've been doing it since my baby (my third) was 6 weeks old! Still got the last 10-15lbs to go and she's 20 months old. It's taking longer than I thought it would. It's the stubborn belly and hips that's my problem, especially after 3.

I'm 38 and losing weight. I only have a few lbs to go now so it's taking a bit longer, but the last bit always does. I'm losing after having my 3rd baby, so I think having had 3 children relatively close together has made it a bit harder, and the fact that my 20 month old doesn't sleep all night has made a difference, but…

Doesn't she do sports at school? When I was at primary school I used to play netball, then I did badminton at secondary school. I also did gymnastics and swimming lessons at one point. My kids are a lot younger - 6, 4 and 20 months - but my eldest 2 have swimming lessons, and they all have scooters, plus the big two have…

Good idea!

I'm having either weetabix or ham omelette for breakfast (depends on time), then I've got protein flapjacks for a snack. Lunch will be either a prawn or tuna salad and maybe a cup-a-soup (got some chicken ones to try). For dinner this week I've got chicken, salmon, cod which I'll have with veggies. I usually snack on an…

I just use milk. Creamers aren't really popular in the UK.

I got pregnant a month after my wedding lol. I continued exercising throughout pregnancy though, but still gained weight. I've now had 3 children (now 6, 4 and 20 months). I was back working out 6 weeks after having each of them. Don't think I look too bad for 38! If I hadn't got pregnant I'd have continued working out and…

I also use old photos as motivation. I'm 38 now and have had 3 kids, and I still fit into clothes I bought in my 20s. I've still got a bit more weight to lose, but I know I can do it. The thing that upsets me about old photos is how young I look! And the lack of bags under my eyes back then lol.

I'm a mum of 3 - a boy who's 6, and 2 girls who are 4 and 20 months. I lost 66lbs after my second, but gained a lot in pregnancy despite exercising and eating at a deficit, so I'm still about 10lbs over pre pregnancy weight still, and it's taking forever to lose! I'm 38 now, and it's definitely harder.

Lol I suppose that's a bit weird. We still use imperial measurements in a lot of things... Miles, stones, feet and inches etc. Although I know in the US you also use miles and measure height in feet and inches. In most of Europe they use kilometres for distance, and measure weight in kilos, and height in centimetres.

I've had 3 kids and I'm still not where I went to be, and my problem is my thighs and my stomach. I have quite a good hip/waist ratio as my hips are 10" bigger, and I seem to lose off my hips at more or less the same rate I lose off my waist. My thighs are about 22" and they are quite muscular, but they're still flabby (or…

A stone is 14lbs. We still use stones in the UK.

When I was a student I walked everywhere, and I had a bike so did a fair bit of cycling, and I left university a lot smaller than when I started! University gyms here in England usually have much cheaper memberships. Gyms weren't so popular back when I started uni in 1996 so I didn't join one, but I did when I was doing my…

I'm 38, but I guess that's near enough 40. Scary lol. I can't really compare as my body is a bit different now I suppose as I've had 3 children (6, 4 and 20 months), so my stomach is still a bit bigger than I'd like, plus I've only got into weight and resistance training in the past few years whereas in my 20s I did purely…

Could you afford to put your kids in childcare for a couple of mornings/afternoons a week? I'd also suggest learning to drive, if that's a possibility. It'll be limiting when they're older if you don't drive. I've got a 20 month old, and also a 6 and 4 year old, and I work 4 days a week as a secondary school teacher, and…

You can do it! I was 220lbs 8 weeks after I'd had my second baby, and I got down to 154lbs and a UK size 10. Then I had another baby lol. She's now 20 months and I'm around 166lbs so nearly back in all my old clothes. In a few weeks logging will be routine, as will exercise. For me, I couldn't have lost weight without…

My eldest is 6, 7 this June. In England kids start school at 4 (if you're 4 by Aug 31st, you start school in Sept. My 4 year old is at school too. They do look cute in their little uniforms (all schools have uniforms in England). I teach French, so it's hard work as a lot of them can barely cope with their own language lol.

How old is kindergarten? I'd love to swap for today, really not in the mood to teach teenagers lol.
