  • I used to run when I was younger and a LOT slimmer. The endorphins afterwards are great. I miss running because being 250 I can't run. One thing you REALLY need to do is make sure you have really good shoes because the more weight you carry the more stress you put on not just joints but also your feet. Stress fractures can…
  • Be careful - when my daughter who's a pitcher in fast pitch softball was having back issues last year I took her to the doctor and he said the good news was that she did NOT have a shooting pain down her leg because that could mean a disc problem. It could just be sciatic but if it persists you really should get it checked…
  • I wondered about that one too! Then I got to thinking.... different positions - different calories burned?
  • Whoever this person is - don't let them cause you even more pain by giving up because of what they did. Think of how much better you feel physically after losing 30 lbs and keep going. It will get better. Everyone has days where they are feeling overwhelmed emotionally. Please don't let this derail you. You would only…
  • Way to go! As for the reward I know what you mean. Why is it always easy to spend the money on our kids or home but not on ourselves? But I say if you haven't spent money on yourself then what better reason to do it? Keep up the great work.
  • Great job!! I am so looking forward to the day when I can do that. I didn't appreciate it enough when I was able to run 3 miles a day (years ago). You should be really proud of yourself!
  • Good Suggestions. I'm not home with her all day. I work and I have been taking some walks - I'll keep doing that. It's just that I have some old aerobics tapes I would like to try and see if I can do. I'll start next week trying to get up an hour earlier for work and fitting them in then. I know if I can get through the…
  • I have so much weight to lose that I think it's come of fast to start - not to mention a lot of this is probably water weight. I've been averaging about 2 to 3 pounds a week with a little more a couple of times. But I think that if I only had 50lbs to lose instead of 138 I would have started out a lot slower. I anticipate…
  • I can definately tell a difference. I've lost over 20lbs but i still have over 100 to go so it's not that noticeable. Losing 20lbs on someone my size is way different than someone who only has 60 or so they need to lose. Don't worry though I can definately see a difference in your pictures - you're doing AWESOME!
