Level 2 Day 1 tonight.......starting to see where the rubber is going to meet the road. Nice change in exercises, now instead of seeing how weak I am, I see how "uncoordinated" I am. Those "ski lunges" are just crazy. Forced myself to do this tonight even though I battling some sort of cold onset or something.

I lost 31 lbs from January 2011 through December 2011. Variety of exercises between elliptical, biking, hiking, kayaking, and walking. Had some plateaus along the way. Learned to eat better, but still could have done better. So far this year, I have lost 10 lbs. I have been doing the elliptical 30-45 minutes a day, and in…

Completed Day #9 level 1 last night. Almost able to do all of the activities without stopping. I have to say that JM talking during the second set of pushups always distracts me. When it comes to the Bicycle Crunches....that is the hardest for me to do, especially at the end. However, I push through as I do not want JM…

I gets easier. I was a bit "cooked' at day three as well, but then I took a day off (to relieve some shoulder pain). I came back on day 4 and it was easier to do. I am up to day #8 and I can definitely feel the strength increasing. Hang in there....you will get stronger and your body will adjust/adapt to the workout. My…

Completed Day 7 Level 1 yesterday. Did 15 minutes of elliptical before and after. I was "cooked" after the 2nd elliptical, but the first elliptical helped the 30 DS workout I think. Of course between the workouts and watching the Daytona 500 last night, I overslept and missed my morning workout today. I guess it is another…

Yesterday was Day 6 Level 1. Before I started working out my 5yr old "encouraged" me by telling me I only had 4 more days to go until I move up a level. Day #6 is getting easier. The one exercise I am struggling with is the "bicycle ab" workout. Either it is my quads are tight or I lack coordination to do this exercise. I…

First let me say congrats on your 20lbs lost. Secondly let me say that weight loss, fitness, and strength is NOT just for women. It is up to you to decide to how you want your body to look. I do not see anywhere in this video that it says that these exercises are JUST for women.

Completed Day #4 Level one this AM. Unable to do D4L1 last night as we had to visit some friends in the hospital out of town. Got home around 10pm and that is a bit late to start working out. So this AM I forced myself to get up and get the workout in. Body feel better after the day off and was able to get through this…

Today is supposed to be Day #4 of Level 1....I slept past the 6AM alarm. Debating if I should give it a go tonight or let my body rest and do a 45 elliptical workout instead? (So far this week I have been doing 30DS in the AM, and 30 minutes elliptical in the PM).

Day #3 this morning....and it is getting a little easier. Getting used to the rhthym, and hope to catch up to the pace. Calves are about the only real sore area today. I find that hydrating during the workout helps. A long way to go but if I get there, I know I have accomplished something. Also doing 30 minutes on the…

This AM was D2L1 - I think I will try to do these workouts before work (at 6-:630AM) Then I can do my elliptical workouts in the evening. Best part of the first workout was my 5yr old "joining" me in doing them. She loved doing these with daddy.....she even wanted to use the 1lb weights. She lasted about 10 minutes. I am…

I am in. I started this tonight. I was going to start my own thread (for tracking) but then I saw this one (might still start my own for tracking anyway). Will try to get measurements and photos for before and after. Starting out I am a 5ft 11in male. Weighed in today at 231. (Down 8lbs this year and down 39lbs since…

Another week of using MFP along with alternating 30 min and 45 min elliptical workouts.....has yielded another 1.8lbs lost in the last week. So that puts me at 4.2 lbs lost since joining MFP (started tracking food on January 30th), and 8lbs for the year so far. Going back to January 2011....I am down 39lbs. Now that the…

Just wanted to pipe in here and update where I am after the second week of MFP. I weighed in today and I am down 2.4lbs since starting MFP. I am trying to keep my NET calories failry even, and also alternating my workouts on the Elliptical (30 min one day, 45 min the next). One thing I am working on is paying attention to…

My came in January 2011. After Christmas 2010, my wife wanted to buy the elliptical my sister was selling as she wanted to tone up after the birth of our second daughter. So I bought it and set it up in the home office. I figured I would try it out as I was off work for the holidays. When I returned to work in January…

to follow up,: In regards to #1 - that is what MFP calculated for me..I am 5ft 11" and 235 when I put the data in last Sunday. In regards to #2 - that is the output per the Nordic Track Elliptical I use. I generally have the resistance and cadence up...keep in mind I have been doing that for since January 2011. Thanks for…
