Hiya - certified burger-ho here with a tip for anyone who is also afflicted by maddening and all-consuming burger cravings... I recently found Angel Bay Gourmet Lite Burger Patties, in the frozen section... Quite delicious and they have saved me from worshiping at the BK temple twice now :) 121 cals/pattie. I use them to…

As a former couch potato, I'm surprised to find myself rewarding and incentivising myself with new fitness things - heart rate monitor, new trainers, concession card for the swimming pools, iPod shuffle for workouts, sports bras... It's a nice change for me, as food and wine used to be my typical reward. My next reward…

I'm really sorry to hear about your family tragedy :-( I'm a stress-eater and pizza-lover as well, so I understand where you're coming from. I sincerely hope you feel better and stronger soon <3 I find that focusing on the negative only brings me lower, and therefore increases my desire to eat my emotions and stress. I…

Not such a small NSV - noticing the difference in how clothes fit is hugely motivating and lifting. That is a great big NSV - well done! :-)

I'd love to lose some frontage!! It'd be nice to lose something from my rear-cushioning too, but that's not the bit I see in the mirror on a regular basis...

You're welcome! PS - editing of previous post was because I needed to looked up correct spelling of peritetiumphanoophanackie.

Hey chickee :-) I get stitch under my rib cage too, but not in my shoulder - I googled it and there are several theories about what causes it, but the advice for stopping/preventing it all seemed to be the same - breath more deeply. I've been concentrating on breathing more deeply now and that's really done the trick!! One…

If you don't want to weigh yourself, don't do it. I know I hate seeing that number go up and at TOM it can be a real kick in the pants! And yep, I too am an absolute bottomless pit when this time hits - have just gone through it, and not altogether successfully, I must admit. However, my plan for next month is going to be…

Wooohooo - brilliant pay out for all that hard work!! I recommend you sleep in it tonight. If it gets too hot, just turn the central heating off - sod everyone else, you deserve your moment in the metaphorical sun that is that jacket  :flowerforyou:

No self-hate allowed, sorry  :flowerforyou: Just before xmas, I gained 3kgs (6.6 lb) in TWO WEEKS, and I don't hate myself - I am super proud that I didn't let it derail me completely and that I'm still working my @ss off  You should be proud too!
-
Yay - two more nearly twins! Although, holy cow - I am going to have my work cut out for me trying to keep up with you all!! Sending you both a friend request... Cheers

Thanks ladies - you are all doing an amazing job! Adding you all

So lonely   anyone?

Hiya If you hate walking, then I'm not sure if trying to find ways to enjoy it will help - if it were me it would just be a constant battle to force myself to do it, one I would probably lose more often than not. Try to find something you do enjoy - maybe return to swimming? You must have loved that at some stage to become…

Maybe a boiled egg? My munchie time is around 3pm - boiled eggs usually help fill the gap!

Oh, what a shame your family aren't telling you what a great job you've done, it is hard without support - so I'll do it! 14lb - way to go - woop woop! 14lb is what I've lost and I'm hella proud of myself - you should be too! I also know the effort that went into losing those pounds, it'd be a real shame to waste all that…

It was a while back now, but I think it was around 500-600 or so calories. I remember thinking it wasn't so bad compared to some of the other burgers, but then realised it was almost half my daily allowance! I think I even worked out how much 'good' food I'd be able to have for the same calories - another 'counting…

Thank you, Hearts :-)

@ Rtossas - Librarian  JK - you look like a rock star, I'm thinking chilli peppers.

You email Burger King for the nutritional information of the Bomb Burger you just saw on the telly, because you can't find it on their website. And then wait more than a day for the reply before you decide whether to to go and buy one or not... (Yes, I did this :blushing: But it worked - I no longer wanted it when I found…

Hi everyone! My name's Libby, 39 year old graphic designer from New Zealand. I came across this group while looking for a support network for this weight loss journey, and after browsing a few of the threads I think I've found it - what a wonderful and supportive group of people! I would love to join the cheer team, if…

An astronaut (I'm in New Zealand and we don't even have a space programme!) A professional ice skater (I still have never even tried ice-skating) A sweet shop owner (oh the ambition  ) I'm now a graphic designer, and loving it!

Yes - totally agree with Louiseisme! For me it's my thighs, and it takes ages to see any difference, but it does eventually happen. Keep up the good work - looks like you're doing great so far and you're sure to see a change soon

Hi Erin - this really resonates with me! Well, I don't have a soldier husband, but I'm a big time stress eater - after a stressful day, I've often found myself heading out to get crisps and wine and telling myself that "I deserve/need a treat". Maybe we can help each other to find alternatives? Sending you a friend request…

Sooo know how you feel - I logged back into MFP in October at my heaviest ever (181 lb). Feel free to add me - maybe we can motivate each other?
-
Hiya Kiwis :flowerforyou: I'm Libby, 39yo, Waikato gal - I just stumbled across this group, so thought I'd join up. This is my second time on MFP - the first time I fell off the wagon quite spectacularly after 4 weeks (lost a little then gained it all back, plus some!) I came back at the end of October, and have lost just…

One banana, 2 tablespoons bran, half cup frozen berries, 1 cup lite cranberry juice - about 270 calories, but very filling so great as an entire breakfast. Makes quite a big smoothie too, so you could half it for half the calories :-)
