Men are not mind readers (neither are women but we're better guessers) So unless you have SPECIFICALLY told him what you want and WHY it's unrealistic for him to do it. I've been married 9 1/2 years and we set ground rules up like that very early on. My hubby knows if I say "Honey I need THIS because of THIS" that it's…

A heart rate monitor is the best way to determine. For guessing I'd choose circuit training I guess.

I'm 5'7" and started at 242. My goal weight is 159. I'm an hourglass shape, so I have fairly large boobs (36DD at my current weight of 174) and they were 40DDD at 242. I've been as low at 142 but that was at 17 in high school so I don't think I'm going to get that low now because it would take too much work for ME to keep…

Depends on if it's putting you over on calories or not. If you're still under your calorie goal for the day *I* don't see a problem with it. I'm the kind of person that doesn't believe in a treat every day or it's not a treat. I'm more likely to treat myself something like you do once a week or so.

If you go cold turkey the headache will go away in a day or two, but if you go back and forth you're just getting a rebound headache from the lack of caffeine on those days.

I just didn't know about the marathon running and cellulite. My nursing instructors will be happy LOL.

I'm going to vote yuck! Sorry I'm a stay at home mom too and I get out of those clothes (even if I can NOT squeeze in the shower) ASAP. Baby wipes are great for a quick wipe down when the kid (or husband) can not wait. So there are days where I change clothes a couple times, which is a pain but better than being in sweaty…

My Grandma's homemade Mexican meal. Family tradition and a favorite of mine. It's something I eat about once a month or maybe every 2 anyhow. It's by far my favorite meal in the whole world, mostly because it's about family and friends and my heritage too. Dessert, probably cheesecake of some kind, it's my absolute…

No irritation from me :D Just be sure to eat those exercise calories back and you'll notice a difference!

You need to be eating back exercise calories (at least some of them) because otherwise your NET calories will be too low. It's the NET that matters most, and netting 1200 is the minimum anyone should be doing. If you look there are LOTS of people that find out that they need to eat a little MORE to lose weight :D

Depends on what areas you are going over in. Protein is set pretty low by MFP so I TRY to go over my protein.

It gets better! Take ibuprofen and drink lots of water. The first week (or sometimes month) of hard workouts, are just that HARD. But they get easier. I actually like the mild ache I have after most workouts now and feel like I didn't do enough if they don't have some ache.

I'm Hispanic :/ I'm sure it would be worse if I was lighter.

I am the same way. I just don't sweat that much even when I'm REALLY busting my butt, even in the 90 degree heat, but my face gets bright red. I splash the water on my face during/after a workout to help some. Edit: it doesn't have anything to do with my weight either, even when I was in high school and at my perfect…

I check nutrition info at restaurants beforehand and plan what I'm getting before I get there. I ask for a box RIGHT away and put away half the meal. I never have more than 2 drinks. It took me about 8-12 weeks to feel comfortable with being like that out with my friends but now no one even notices and some of them get a…

Don't buy them. I can NOT keep some things in the house because I will snack on them. If I had to get in the car and go get them then I won't.

I think that where you are is likely fine. BMI is only PART of the story of a healthy weight so you've looked at the other pieces too and that matters. BMI is not the end all be all, just ONE of the many tools.

When I started I could only do the elliptical for FIVE min at a time, so I did it twice a day (I had one gathering dust). Now I am using it for 45 min or more (and at 5mph or more) and working on Week 5 of the Couch To 5K program running (on the road and on the treadmill). So take it slow the time and speed WILL come. I…

Slow and steady. Change one thing at a time. I started with JUST food and then added in exercise after a couple of weeks. Drink water (don't drink your calories). Know that it's going to take you a year (or more for some people, I think I'll be near 70lbs lost at my 1 year anniversary next month). One bad day (or one bad…

I'm doing C25k but usually 4 days a week (since I like to have an extra day for each week before moving up). I also walk 2 days a week, and lift weights 3-4 days a week. Just off on Sundays.

If you have a HRM you'll see that you definitely do because you're body is upping your heart rate to keep that blood circulating to keep that HOT HOT blood out of your brain and away from your heart. The opposite is true in cold weather, you burn more calories because your heart is trying to pump hot blood to those vital…

I've been working off the 40/30/30 since last August. Now I'm trying to up my protein while reducing my fat just a little bit, I may end up reducing carbs just a hair too.

I once read it takes about 6 months for you to catch up to what size you currently are from a past size (up or down). So I figure until I hit my goal weight I'll never know what size I really am LOL.

I started out at 242lbs (5'7") and a 40DDD, I'm now at 175 and a 36DD So I have lost a fair amount in the boobs but not as much as some women. Everyone's body loses weight in different places and boobs is something I've always been blessed with so I wouldn't expect them to be much smaller even in another 20lbs. The most…

I tend to eat more calories for dinner than my other meals, even before exercise calories (those usually become my snack(s)). I was doing 1200 calories a day, which I quit because it was making me insane, I can't function that low honestly. I'm MUCH happier now at 1400 calories before exercise. I ate about 300 for…

Maybe you're not ready to run? I could NOT run when I started because of my weight (242lbs at 5'7") it was just too hard on my knees and calves. So I walked, and walked and walked. You CAN lose lots of weight walking and it's easier on the legs and knees than the running. Now I'm almost to the one year mark and I'm in week…

Invest in a HRM (heart rate monitor) and then you'll get an accurate read out of what you're burning.

I started at 242 (and I'm 5'7") and I was set at 2lbs a week to lose but it was too tough for me to suddenly drop that low, so I set it to 1.5lbs a week and the first few weeks I still lost more than that. I am VERY diligent though and I measure everything I eat and exercise 5-6 days a week. I started with just walking but…

are you eating ENOUGH calories? You need to be NETTING 1200 calories minimum a day (and for me that's not enough my body won't lose weight at only 1200 calories a day). Eat back your exercise calories.

Surgery is the only option for major skin changes. Even though I've lost slow and steady and toned as I went I'm still going to have excess belly skin. Only you can decide how much it bothers you and if surgery is an option or not. As for the middle you'll need to do core exercises to work those muscles but if there is…
