  • Healthy fats maybe? When fats hit your small intestine, a hormone is released that slows down the emptying speed of your stomach, which can then aid in feeling fuller longer. sure the nuts and other things have healthy fats in them.. I'd say maybe get in some using Olive oil vinagrette on salad, or drizzled over broccoli.…
  • There is no epehedra and I'm pretty sure no caffiene- so jitters are unlikely. I've not experienced anything like that, been drinking it daily m-f for 3 months now. It generally helps me stay on track better, and most days helps reduce cravings for junk food. I have the strawberry flavor, to which I add some OJ, water, and…
  • it may sound "gross" to many- but I like it. I make a sandwich! All natural/nitrate free turkey, ham or chicken, slice of all natural cheese, a healthy whole wheat/whole grain slice(or 2) of bread, and lots of spicy brown mustard. Pair that with a bit of fruit and you have a very balanced and filling breakfast!
  • yep! that's why i like my half sammie. you're right though, you have to find what works for you in the long run! a string cheese alone for me wouldn't cut it. at least not yet, maybe someday when my body is actually efficient at what it needs to do!
  • I"ve found that a half sandwich really works for me! it's balanced as well. 1 slice lower calorie whole grain bread, spicy brown mustard, all natural(nitrate/nitrite free) sliced turkey, chicken or ham, and a slice of all natural super thin sliced cheese. depending on brands, this snack rolls in around 120-160 cals and is…
  • I have the flex. i've not had a problem with it tracking "active minutes". I also sync to MFP and use MFP ONLY to log in additional exercise. Piyo is a good example of lower arm/body movements, but pretty darn good cardio/strength workout! I just do a manual calorie burn entry in MFP to track those workouts. I think fitbit…
  • Thanks for posting that!! GREAT REMINDER! I have 100+ to lose as well. I'm down 19. I'm not setting any land speed records doing it, and i'm ok with that!(most of the time) I'm not starving myself. I'm eating a LOT healthier, a whole bunch less, but i'm still allowing for an indulgence here and there.. as long as it…
  • I did a 60 day PiYo challenge. I really liked the workouts. keep remote handy- I had to pause and rewind many times at first to see the moves again. A yoga instructor in our group recommended to make sure you go at your own pace! don't sacrifice the correct positioning of a pose in order to do more reps of it! It can…
  • this site was recommended to me by a good friend who lost a bunch of weight. http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm I use it to calculate my daily calorie need. I personally put in a weight that is 20-30lb less than I currently weigh. then I put in little to no exercise. everything else i use what I really…
  • Thanks for posting!! I've been in a rut the past few weeks. My loss has pretty much stalled. A touch of inspiration from someone else is so helpful at this time!! You should be proud of your hard work!!!
  • this is a question best answered by your surgeon and your body. I had 2 c-sections. while i was up and about and caring for both kids 2days after my 2nd surgery- including lifting things heavier than my baby and walking up and down stairs and driving.. I wasn't do any "exercise program" until given the ok at my 8wk post…
  • I dont' have a recipe per se- but I would think that any chili recipe you have that you like and use ground beef in you could use and just use the ground chicken. I make a "white" chicken chili w/chunk chicken. You could use the ground chicken in place. Just brown and drain. Mine is easy- quantities based on how much you…
