I completely agree with those before me who have said about the cost, the gimmick, etc. You didn't get heavy overnight (sorry to be blunt, but sometimes the truth hurts). There is no miracle pill, shake, or potion that will make the weight fall off fast. We have all put ourselves in the positions to become heavy, its my…

Hi and welcome, I am looking to lose around 50lbs myself. I lost 55 back in 2012 and then within the last year I put ~35 of it back on. So I'm back at it, hoping to kick *kitten* again. Sending you a friend request.as.soon.as.I.finish.typing.this. Good luck :drinker:

Thanks so much for really giving me the doses of reality that I need. Sometimes I really can be my own worst critic. And not in a bad way but because I expect so much of myself. I feel like I did let myself down by allowing the weight to come back, even if it wasn't all 55 pounds. You are all correct in that I know what to…

That's for making me hunger with what everyone is bringing!! Mid morning snack - 1/2 cup of banana chips Lunch - 6oz seasoned chicken breast, a Roma tomato & a heap of mixed veggies Mid afternoon snack - Nutribullet smoothie consisting of 1/4 cup of dry oats, 2 cups spinach, 1/2 cup 1%milk, 1 tbsp peanut butter (it kills…

I have a few NSV goals set. - wear the denim dress I last wore a year ago when I had better self control. - for my boobies to fit into bras that I have (nobody likes the nasty too-small bra overspillage!) - to take family photos and be proud to display them.

Thanks for all of the encouragement! I just do get so disappointed in what I have let happen over the last year. To come so far and then fall of so fast, feels like I let myself down. But I can't dwell over what was, have to work on what is going to happen once I put my mind to it again!

I try and get out and take a walk every day on my lunch break. Depending on what all I have going on, I can log anywhere from 1 mile to 2 1/2 miles on my break. Not only is it exercise (duh  ) but it gets me out in the fresh air & away from the same 4 walls that confine me for 8 hrs a day. After work, I try & get out…

Hi all, I'm Christine (as if my username didn't give you a clue  ) I'm 30 years old, married with 2 kids. I was very successful with MFP when I first logged on in 2012, losing 55 lbs. From the support and tracking, it really was what I needed. I had worked for the US Army as a DOD Contractor for the last 9 years…

Just joined the group late yesterday so I have a bit of catching up to do. Good luck to all! I weigh in usually every Monday but can record privately than post if its easier. Good luck all! Start weight: 206.2 Goal Weight: 185 by Christmas day. Final goal is 150-155 Lbs to Lose: 21.2 09/05: (actually the 15th) 206.2 10/03:…

Let me say that my diary is open to my friends. Sorry to sound harsh but I have everything privatized due to my job. I work with local government and everyone finds you everywhere  Thanks for the words of wisdom.

Honestly I get tired of the same stuff so I switch it up between my iTunes and Pandora. I have the Latin Workout channel, 90's Hip hop, today's hits, Pitbull channel, etc. I tend to go for faster paced- music with lots of beats to keep me moving.

Welcome back. I'm coming back to MFP myself. I'm riding ~210lbs right now (could be more, could be less, I'm really avoiding the scale as if it would make a difference). Within the last month I have started to walk on my lunch break, I can usually squeeze in at least a mile, depending on what I have going on. I have a…

I'm back on the wagon after a brief stint off. I'd like to lose 50 (lost it before until 37 decided to sneaky back on, damn sneaky pounds! Shame on them!!) But I'm back and ready to roll. Feel free to add me. I tend to forget to add my dinners but I am getting better, I promise :blushing: Currently 205, looking to be…

Great suggestions!! I grabbed a box of Kettlecooked poopcorn last night at the store. Been years since I've had it and I nice alternative to my beloved chippies

I'm trying to cut back from my salt lick :) I'm not a person that generally coats everything in excess salt. For example, even when cooking, I rarely add it to a meal. But chips are my vice. I don't know if my craving for salt could be a sign of something I'm lacking? Or just me detoxing from chips.

I myself am back on the wagon. I lost 55lbs over the last 2 years with the help of MFP and between career changes, life, and all the other crap for lack of better words, I f*^%ed it up. New pictures show me headed back down a nasty path and I don't want to be there. So 30 started to come back. No more!

I go on Pandora and have the Latin Workout Radio, Pitbull channel, Rap strength training channel and a few other good upbeat selections. The fast the music, the more encouraged I feel to move with the beat.

Thanks^^ I am really enjoying it for the most part. Its all foods I eat I have just cut back on my portions. I don't find it restrictive either. I just need to remember to eat, so I have been setting alarms on my cell phone. The afternoon is a bit harder since you aren't eating as frequently but its still not bad. I am…

I think I should clarify that I'm not really looking at this as a diet. I am eating the same foods but with a better focus on portion control. I hate the stigma workout plans/diets get when they get titles. Sheesh.

So glad I just found this post!! I just started Paleo and I am on day 4. I was pretty much eating close to the style already. However with day 2 I was really craving bread and I don't really eat alot of bread to begin with. Please tell me it gets easier :o) I don't drink soda, eat any excess sugar (ie coffee, candies,…

Whimsy: I took a picture of my "fancy" apron last night lol. Needless to say I am so disgusted with it and I am adding that to my motivators!! My body looks a whole heck of a lot different when I see it half naked in pictures lol.

Hi! I'm from South Jersey, originally Willingboro (don't judge me haha), then to Mount Laurel, now living in Mount Holly (yeah, strange!) I posted on the NJ board the other day but there is not really any traffice over there :o/

You're doing a great job!!! It's amazing once we cut out fast food how much of a difference it makes!! Keep up the hard work!!
-
Yup! I love Greek yogurt! I go in phases with it though. I actually grabbed some the other day b/c I am dipping strawberries in it and drizzling chocolate over them for a work party tomorrow :o)

I don't have a problem taking in my 1400 base but its the extra calories that I struggle. Any suggestions???
-
So now I ask this... do you all eat back your exercise calories or no? Sometimes I have a very hard time doing that 1) b/c I am just plain old full & 2) if I don't add in my calories back til the end of the day, it's too late for me to eat (I try not to eat past 7pm)

Well HI, WELCOME, and THANK YOU to all of your inspiring words and stories. I think I have added (am trying to get everyone, if I missed you, please add me!) to my friends list. I love seeing everyone reach goals, milestones etc! I am going to try and take a pic tonight to post as my "before" shot.
