  • I am thankful for: - waking up every morning in my bed with my husband next to me and my children down the hall - bills, which means I am providing for my family - cold wine after a hard day - medical coverage - warm summers - Sunday family dinners
  • Hi there... 5'4, lost 10 so far, working on losing another 25-30. I was very successful with MFP 5 years ago and lost 50lbs then somehow ::wink wink:: ~30 crept back on. I know I can do it. I have set some mini goals. Trying to be more active on the boards rather than be a creeper and get back into logging religiously. I…
  • That moment when your back boobs start going down :)
  • Great way to really keep things in perspective. My first go around with MFP, I was very successful and set big goals. This time around, I'm taking a slower approach. 10 pounds at a time. Helps to not keep me discouraged. Good luck!!
  • 1. Hold a plank without looking like ~ 2. Deflate the muffin top 3. Be able to get super low with a squat
  • Thanks for the feedback. Surgery went well. I can't lift anything heavier than 5lbs for 2 weeks or have any seriously strenuous activity. Other than that I am free to do anything my body is comfortable with.
  • I workout 5 days a week at 4:30a. I used to go immediately after work but now I don't have the time for afternoon sessions. I used to hate morning but now I love it. I have so much more energy throughout the day and can get things accomplished in the evenings whereas I was rushing to squeeze everything in just to make time…
  • Much like everyone else says, I peel mine in the morning and weigh then pop in a baggie. Invest in a food scale. Not only will it give you the most accurate reading on what you are about to eat but you will realize how far (or close) off your guestimates are. I found mine at Target.
  • Today, I am realizing I can do this. Every other time I gave up. I have the right mindset & a great support group on here that helps when I slip up. I'm holding myself accountable for my actions, weighing my food, measuring everything out before hand, making conscience decisions. Today, I know I can do it. :)
  • MFP start weight: 209.8 Challenge Start weight: 199.6 Week # 1: 197.8 Week # 2: 195.4, loss of 4.2lbs
  • MFP start weight: 209.8 Challenge Start weight: 199.6 Week # 1: 197.8, 1.8 loss
  • I hit 198.6 the other day but I expect that to fluctuate over the next few days as I'm approaching TOM.
  • So far 12 hours smoke free!!!
  • Today I decided that while eating better and working out are great, quitting smoking would help my cause. I truly don't know why I continue to smoke, I don't enjoy it anymore, I think it's more for the social aspect (talk with co-workers and friends). I have less than half a pack to go and I'm done. Here's to staying on…
  • Feel free to add me... This is my second challenge... I liked it so much the first time around, I decided to put the weight back on and do it again :) good luck everyone!
  • Hi everyone, My name is Christine and this is my second (or third or forth) go around on MFP. I started with MFP back in 2012 as my 2nd child's first birthday approached. I needed to work on me. The scale was hovering around 225 and I felt horrible. I lost 50 pounds in a year by logging, working out, and just taking better…
  • MFP start weight: 209.8 Current weight: 199.6 Challenge Goal Weight: 179.6 Ultimate Goal Weight: 170 Thanks for including me!! Good luck to everyone!
  • I have a Fitbit Charge for about 6 weeks now and I love it. I am fairly sedentary with my job but do get up and move around 8-10k during the day. I like the fact that its tracking my steps, sleep and syncs with MFP. For me, it was well worth the investment. Kind of kicked myself for not getting a tracker sooner. Also gave…
  • Best investment I have made as of recently was a $15 food scale at Target. Most days I was over/under cutting myself in my food. Really makes you accountable for what you are putting on your plate. You can buy measuring cups at the Dollar Store! Well worth the investments and piece of mind.
  • I'm right at 207 right now and squeezing into my 14's, some 16's fit or are loose. Would love to be back in a 10/12 by Christmas :) you guys are great motivation!!
  • I'm in the same boat too. Feel free to add me! I've used MFP before & had much success. Recent events have brought me back to square one. Need the motivation too :)
  • I usually prep a few days at a time. Some is based off of what I have as a meal at dinner the night before. Other times its chicken breast I have grilled and measured out for 3-4 days. I don't cut fruits out ahead of time, just as previous posters have mentioned, for fear of them going back too quickly. I do hard-boiled…
  • I weigh myself daily just b/c I think it's mental for me. I log my weight (either gains or loss) usually the same day every week. I hate to stereo type but I think it's a woman thing too though b/c many men I know don't weigh daily vs the women do. For me, if I see the numbers daily it helps me keep myself in check and…
  • Hi everyone. This is my second go around. First time I was very successful with the program and really did love it. Kinda didn't use the community but I am seeing how much of a valuable tool it really is. Hoping to lose around 50 this time but I will be happy with any amount leading up to that. Feel free to add me! Good…
  • I changed careers October 2013 and recently met with some of my former coworkers. When I left my job I was in some of the best shape of my adult like (hell probably my life ever) and seeing them recently, I had packed on ~30lbs of "stress" weight. I feel it in my clothes, my movement, everything. Most recently seeing…
  • Looking to lose ~50lbs. Lost 55lbs 2 years ago and ~30 has somehow snuck back on (funny how that happens!). I'm starting P90X tonight again. Can't wait to get back the confidence and "old" me. Feel free to add!
  • I have a Nutribullet that we use to "juice" or make smoothies/shakes. I used to have a Jack LaLane juicer that was a huge, bulky pain in the butt and left out so much of the nutrients of whatever I was blending. I swear by my Nutribullet. I never substitute my juices/shakes/smoothies for meals, just simply enhance. My kids…
