Brilliant! That club lemon...it's a proper ba$tard all right, and don't get me started on the rock shandy! (Nice to hear a whine with a food brand that I recognise, ha ha!)

It doesn't take much, if a chain has stretched more than 0.8 millimetres or (I'm trying to convert to imperial measurements here!!!) 32/1000 of an inch- that could be enough to scrap the chainset. Might be worth investing in a $10 gauge on eBay.

Get a chain gauge to measure between the links, as a chain will stretch. 2 new chains per year fitted (€40 in Ireland) is a whole lot cheaper than replacing a complete chainset (€220). And the higher the correct working pressure of the tyre, the less chance of a puncture.

Very helpful and well put. Thanks.

Well done, really inspiring. It's great to hear how having a different approach achieved so much.

I'd say most of us guys really like seeing how great the ladies do, and I really do! But being a 300+ guy it's the success stories from the (former) big guys that would be great to see a bit more off. Get your husband to look for a guy called Ed Davenport...this man I think is a legend, an inspiration to anyone that is…
