Ingredients •1 1/2 cup cooked brown rice •1 large onion, sliced •4 medium carrots, grated •1 small head cauliflower (sliced/chopped) •1 pound lean ground beef (uncooked) •1 medium green pepper, diced •2 teaspoons salt •2 cups tomato tomato sauce •2 tablespoons…

My house yes. Then I have some birkies I use as slippers because I have plantar faciitis and can't go barefoot for long. Other peoples houses - most of the time. One of my friend's house is dirty all the time, so no, I don't take them off there....LOL. No, I don't think someone is stuck up if they ask people to remove…

This is the exact problem I was just discussing with another MFP-er. I need to up my water intake as well. Trying to keep my water bottle in front of my computer so that I see it all the time in hopes it will remind me to drink. I may start setting a 2 hour timer and if I haven't finished my 16 oz bottle, I need to do it…

Oh, good! Maybe now you can find a boyfriend. Umm, really? This from the same person who when I broke up with a previous bf said, "Don't let him make you feel bad, you're beautiful on the inside". . . . . Mom, the weight wasn't the problem. I met him on a BBW website!

So many inspiring successes. I need to look at this post regularly to keep my motivation going!

Quick chilaquiles. 2 corn tortillas cut or ripped in small pieces sauteed with cooking spray for a minute, then add a couple tablespoons of salsa (either red or green), scramble in one or two eggs (or whites) and when cooked add a pinch of shredded cheese. Yummy! I have done this in the microwave as well just adding all…

I make egg tacos a lot - making the eggs in the microwave. Wisk and add a little water or milk and cook for 1 min. They come out super fluffy. Just watch it, sometimes I stop it sooner and mix and put back in to nuke a bit longer.

Just one???? LOL I have several, but most recently I've run across these that bother the heck out of me: Lives with parents or has room mates. Different if you're younger - but if you're 35, 40+.....definitely a bad thing (not withstanding special circumstances, like sick parents, etc.) Need some independence. Ok, can't do…

An American Bulldog, just turned 1 yr old. I don't know how to add a pic...but he's adorable!

That is awesome...YOU are awesome!! Thanks for the post and sharing your pics. I feel like I have soooo far to go and thinking about it gets very daunting. Like you, I can't believe I have gotten as big as I am and it seems almost impossible to get where I want to be. Your success inspires me and reminds me that it IS…

My extreme desire to eat! I'm having such a hard time changing my mindset. Reminding myself (especially when I'm not hungry) that I don't need food to make me feel good.

It's easy to get sad when you don't see the results you want right away. Keep in mind if you are eating below your daily caloric allowance, you could be in effect hurting yourself. You're body might hold on to everything, thinking it won't get enough. It will turn around again, but there is a reason you should keep to a…

Hi all! I have suffered from migraines since I was a kid. Docs have tried figuring out what they are from, but they truly just don't know. I was tired of being a pin cushion so to speak. About 5 years ago I stared on an all natural product that has made a huge difference. I don't know if it will work for you, but it has…

Hello all! I'd love for any of you in this subject to add me as a friend. I am looking to lose 90-100lbs in the long run. I'm taking it slow. Hoping for about 1lb a week. I could definitely use some friends, motivation and encouragement.

You are sooo right Leslie. We've all heard it before. It's not a diet (which is a temporary thing), it's a life style change (a permanent thing). No more breaks. :) Only changes, adjustments, of course there will be readjustments too. I have a good friend that has been trying to quit smoking and is really struggling. But…

Wow, here I am 45 and have suffered from hypothyroid and PCOS for many many years and didn't even think others on this site with the same. Thanks so much for posting. While it will be harder for us to accomplish our goals, it is NOT impossible. Let's do this!! Jodi - sent you a friend request with a very long message…

Valerie - Bravo for opening your heart and sharing. I can't tell you how many similarities to my situation I found in your post. I also couldn't see how big I'd become when looking in the mirror. Deep down, I knew it, it showed on the scale and how I felt. But yeah, I was in denial. We are here now and it would be great to…

I've lost and gained several times now. Feeling really really disappointed in myself. I hate the way I feel and hate the way I look. But I have zero motivation. Read a few threads and see that many people are in the same boat. Good step for today, we logged in and posted. I've had a bad habit of loosing 20-25lbs and then…

Saw this thread and maybe I shouldn't beat myself up so much. I logged in, right? Good step for today.....now, I gotta get…
