Sometimes, as sad as it is, family can be some of the least supportive people in endeavors involving change. It is important to have that support system to keep you going and the determination to just keep right on plugging away at it. You will find all that support here, and most of all, you will succeed. Welcome aboard!

I have recently added a small muscle milk to my diet on workout days. Helps boost up my protein but I am even having trouble boosting it. Might have to make sure I have more eggs on hand looking at some of these replies.

I have my ipod going from the time I dress out to the time I get ready for my shower, so I guess the answer to that is yes. As far as what I listen to, mostly Metal and Hard Rock, with a little bit of rap or hip hop mixed in. Lots of Disturbed and Metallica, Some Poison and Eminem. Then once I go into cooldown, I kick it…

They also say that strength training under the cardio heading is not exactly accurate as far as the calorie burn. I log it though because it gives me some idea as far as what I am doing. Just log it as strength training under cardio

I don't enjoy puking, so I don't thnk I would purposefully go into excess of anything like that. BUT one food I thing I truly enjoy and would eat until I grew tired of it, General Tao's Chicken.

Like I said in the above post, it is REALLY hard to see the weight loss in yourself. when I dropped 40 pounds from 457 to 417, personally I did not really see it. The numbers on the scale changed, I had more energy, and my clothes fit me a little bit better, but honestly I did not think appearence wise there was much…

Mostly Metal or hard rock here during the weight training and cardio, with a little hip hop mixed in. As my finish strong song on the elliptical, nothing seems to beat "Not Afraid" by Eminem... then for the cooldown period, I hit up some Josh Groban or Andrea Bocelli.

Also keep in mind that when you are seeing yourself everyday and the changes are happening every day, not everyone is going to notice things right away. It is a process and eventually someone will say "Hey, are you working out?" It happens to me quite frequently with coworkers who I do not spend much time around, not so…

Hey there! If there is one thing I have learned, it is that in order to make a change, you have to push yourself and you need a good support system. I am thinking that this place is a good support system with lots of friendly types. Just keep at it once you commit and your goals will be met in no time.

I bought myself a 100 oz jug from a convenience store, fill it up with Ice Water, and drink on that throughout the night. That is in addition to two cups of coffee and one 24 oz Pepsi Max and a LifeWater for the vitamins. Generally I am still drinking anywhere from 5 - 6 glasses on non workout days, then on workout days I…

I do quite a bit of walking on my job, so on non gym days I generally only get in a couple of miles worth of walking in. I have recently, since starting on MFP, started going outside on my break and walking at a pretty respectable pace for 30 minutes at a time. Then on gym days I tend to hit the elliptical for 40 - 65…

I use those big exercise balls when I do my ab workout days at the gym, and I am HUGE (gettin less huge though). If they don't pop under my big ol booty, you will be fine on em. And as a side note, for low impact on the knees that will work out your booty, you can try a high incline on an elliptical trainer.

at 6'5" the most I have ever weighed would be 457 in '10. I got down to 415 through exercise and then got sidetracked by a schedule change and way more stress for about a year. In October of '11 I started working out again, weighing in at 430 pounds. By the time I joined MFP, which was about a week ago, I had gotten down…
