I love my Polar F6 HRM! It has the chest strap and really helps me to push myself when I'm working out. As for the arm band, I have a black sport one that I bought from Best Buy. It does wrap around my arm but I usually put it over the sleeve of my T-shirt so I haven't noticed any issues with skin contact. Good luck with…

I drink at least 12 and sometimes 16 eight ounce glasses of water a day. I find that I drink 8 glasses with my workout in the morning. I'm able to do more intense exericse when I'm hydrated. I do have to pee less now than when I started, but I do feel the effects of dehydration more if for some reason I don't get to drink…

you are beautiful in both pictures! congrats on your weight loss. You look amazing!

@timbotina I have a HRM that I wear during my workouts. I was just curious to what others calorie burn might be. @WB thanks for the instructions. That was not at all clear to me in the video. Lol.

It's just one level per session right? Do level one each day until comfortable and then move on to level 2 and so on right? Because I don't think I could do 1,2 & 3 together.

Congrats on your success!

This might seem crazy, but if you've had any disruptions in your routine that could also contribute. I had a few sleepless nights this week and ended up with a 0.8 pound loss on the scale when I've been averaging about 2.2lbs per week. The only thing I can point to is a lack of adequate rest and a disruption in my schedule.

This is similar to what happened to me. Seeing my husband so distraught about my weight really made me take a look at myself. That's what got the ball rolling, but now I'm finding new reasons to do this for me everyday.

My husband, God bless him, is one of the worst offenders in this department. Sometimes you just have to be completely selfish and do what's best for you. Like other posters have said, your mom is a nurse and she knows better. Do what you can to respect her while you are living in her house, but don't compromise your health…

Congrats! I'm looking forward to that day when I can say the same!

I hate the idea that this is something I have to think about everyday. Idk if this will ever be second nature for me. I have to make the decision to eat healthy and exercise everyday. Just so I don't get bogged down in day to day calorie counting, I plan my meals on Sunday as I'm preparing for the work week. That way all I…

@blackbeltbound I guess it's obvious that I'm a wolf girl. Lol. And yes I enjoyed the movie immensely!

Welcome and good luck!!! If I am making progress, anyone can. Stick with it and take it one day at a time. :flowerforyou:

Thanks for the feedback! I guess I was just feeling a little self conscious b/c not only am I a newbie, I'm the heaviest in the class.

I was also on phentermine. I had the hair loss and irritability. I stopped. The side effects were not worth it. I've had better results doing it the good old fashioned way.

@aprueitt it's not really true that you need a "cheat" day a week. It just helps me mentally. I'm one of those die hard all or nothing when it comes to diet and exercise. When I have my indulgence, it forces me to reexamine the way I think. Just because I had chicken fingers and French fries for dinner doesn't mean my…

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who doesn't have iron clad willpower. My one indulgence a were usually keeps me sane. Lol.

Thanks everybody for your positive comments. This has become about so much more than my dress size!

I love Jillian all the way around in anything she's in. I have her DVDs and they are killer but they work. I love the fact that she actually knows the feelings behind being overweight and the mental battles that you fight while losing weight. I listen to her podcasts when I'm working out. She is awesome!

I don't know what your schedule is like, but have you tried working out in the morning? I tried the afternoon/night exercise thing and could never quite be consistent with it. I could always talk myself out of going. Working out in the morning allows me to give it my all and I have more energy for the rest of the day.…

Count me in for the bigger boobs. I've lost almost 20lbs and I have gone down a band size and up a cup size! I got measured on Thursday.

Jillian Michaels has a book called Making the Cut that deals with losing the last 10-15 pounds. You might want to check it out. Good luck and don't give up on trying to reach your goal.
-
I personally love Jillian and her workouts!!! I have her winning by losing book, but there is another book she has called making the cut that is specifically geared toward losing the last 10-15 pounds. That might be more helpful for you. Either way good luck on reaching your goal.

I have one question. Is your husband overweight? If he is, he should be more understanding to your point of view. If not, then he'll never understand. I think you're doing the right thing. I like the 80/20 thing another poster mentioned.
-
I personally love it. I get the breast and wing combo with green beans and corn on the cob. With the biscuit it's about 570 calories. Nothing you can do about the sodium though. Enjoy!
-
I stop my HRM immediately after my workout ends. I don't count housework or any other ADL's in my calorie burn. I always assumed my settings (ie: sedentary, lightly active etc.) included my everyday stuff. The afterburn I get from exercise is just a bonus in my opinion.

Over by Drake "What am I doing, What am I doing? Oh yeah that's right, I'm doing me! I'm doing me! I'm living life right now, man and that's what I'ma do til it's over til it's over but it's far from over" Helps me push through in the end. :)

I thought about using cottage cheese, but i was trying to keep the sodium down. I'm prone to bloating. The protein was the reason that I used the greek yogurt. It has 23g of protein per cup!
