  • That looks better than I eat most of the time. I'm a fast food and caffeine junkie atm, Although I've still lost nearly two stone. Personally, I don't log water very often, but I concentrate mostly on calories. Exercise is also a good idea, but not essential for weight loss. It just speeds it up a little, as long as you…
  • It's alright to 'fall off the wagon' now and then, as long as you get back on it. I find it's best to remember that tomorrow's a new day and next week's a new week which we can do anything we want to with.
  • Welcome to MFP. In the couple of months I've been here I've lost 24lbs and everyone has been very supportive. I'm sure that you'll be able to achieve your goal.

  • Right now, I'd be happy with the before pic, but congrats, you're looking great.
  • I weigh in every Monday morning, wearing the same clothes, underwear and work trousers
  • I try to do at least 30 mins on the Wii every day, either Wii Fit, Wii sports tennis or My Fitness coach: dance workout. I'm beginning to think about looking at other exercises including some form of weights.
  • 3045 so far. Still tomorrow to go and I'm hoping for 600-700 then.
  • Welcome to My Fitness Pal. I've lost nearly 2 stone in 2-3 months. Still got a long way to go, but I know I'll get there.

  • Welcome to My Fitness Pal.
  • I'd say log the food and exercise calories seperatly.
  • Welcome to MFP.
  • Like neonpink. I have the Polar FT4 and I love it. It does everything I need and want it to.
  • That's the one I have. I bought it before the price dropped though.
  • I've used a polar FT4 for a while. I just put the band right below my bra strap, everything stays where it should and it works fine. Not with the strap on top of it
  • Alice. I'm not into men, she's funny and smart and she's hot.
  • It could cause weight gain if the body was holding on to more than it was before. Or as ladybug said, it could be water retention.
  • I'm dreading ever getting sick as I know it will be very easy for me to slip back into eating too much and not exercising if I do. Luckily I don't get sick very often and I was just before I started on MFP, hopefully by the next time I do, I'll have exercise and nutrition down to a regular part of my life.

  • IT looks to me like what you're doing wrong is not eating enough calories. You should be eating back most of your exercise calories. MFP already allows for a calorie deficit which will let you lose weight at a safe rate. If you burn too much then your body will hold onto as many calories as it can. Which means it will…
  • I'm loving this site. It's the first time I've seriously tried to lose weight with nutrition and exercise, I've stuck to it longer already than I ever did just going to the gym and I've lost 21lbs! The only thing that I have noticed is that you have to keep an eye on the nutritional information for food as it can sometimes…

  • Usually The Workout mix 2011 disc 1 or 2, but sometimes I switch it up with the first Glee cast album. I also have the Ministry of sound Running Trax for when I actually start running.
  • I don't think there's any way except to go wholeheartedly.
  • Any major change in life is difficult to accomplish, the way to stick at it is to remember that it's something you want and just keep at it. If you have days that you don't keep to your calories, just remember that each is just one day out of the thousands in the rest of your life. Tomorrow is a new day, a new start.
  • I have a dress a couple of sizes smaller than I currently wear hanging on the back of my bedroom door so I have to look at it every time I go out.
  • I've heard that measurements are the best way to track loss anyway. If you build muscle it's possible for your weight to go up yet still lose inches. Since muscle weighs more than the same volume of fat.
  • You can definitely do it. When I started my scales said exactly 300lbs. On Monday I was down to 283 and that's only six weeks later. If I can, you can. And I guess you being a Ninja will help as well.
  • Welcome to MFP, I'm sure you'll make your goal. What's great about this, other than the fantastic community of course, is that it changes your eating habits so you're much more likely to keep eating well when you've achieved your goal. That'll help keep the weight off.

  • Welcome to MFP. It's a great place to get motivation from, I've never kept at it as long as I have sine joining here. I find it helps me to think of it not as a diet, but as a lifestyle change. After all, if you lose the weight and then go right back to eating how you were before then you're going to put it all back on.
  • Congrats.
  • Welcome to MFP. If you're having trouble logging during the day, could you carry a notepad, write down what you've eaten and then log it all at once once your kids have gone to bed maybe? The other option would be planning your meals in advance.
