It's a bit different because Annie's products are marketed for children, not the fitness world like actual protein bars so I kind of understand why they did that. I'm also a Built Bar fan and have at least one per day. The macros on those still amaze me and they're perfect when you need some protein but want to keep cals…

500 calorie deficit per day = 1 pound loss per week, so 750 calorie deficit per day = 1.5 pound loss per week. That would put you at 1630 calories which is pretty close to your MFP goal as is. Why not eat to that amount and just not account for exercise calories?

Agreed. I feel like dieticians just tell clients what they want to hear. "Yes, you do have a broken metabolism but we're going to fix it by doing x, y, and z" or " You have an usually low BMR, so here are my recommendations." That way, they enable the excuses of their client "Oh, yes, you indeed are an outlier/you do have…

I keep it on 24/7. We're surrounded by technology; wearing my Fitbit isn't going to make anything worse. I don't let myself get swayed by fear-mongering, clickbait articles.
-
Do you have advice on how to make these? I have a few of these in my pantry from my RippedKit monthly boxes and whenever I've made them in the past they don't come out right as per the directions. It's a tad watery and oddly textured.
-
I didn't know they do that but that's also good idea. I'm not sure which flavors you tried but they changed the formula last summer from what I read. Everyone has different tastes though. I like the flavors I listed but there have been some duds from them in the past year. The blondie smells like Play-Doh and I'm not a fan…

I have a Fitbit Aria and I don't consider it to be reliable for my BF%. Like others have said, it can be useful for overall trends. Here's my BF% for the last three months. As you can see, I get some pretty funky readings: I'd say based on what I've seen on these forums, have read in other places, and measurements I've…

Double post. Edit: Since I accidentally double posted, I'll also say Raw Rev Glo Dark Chocolate Espresso Crunch bars. I have one every single morning for breakfast with a cup of black coffee. I never get tired of them and always look forward to waking up and having one.

I know they do wholesale, but I always buy mine online; I've never seen them sold in my area. They have sales often, so I buy in bulk when they do so that I'm never paying full price. They usually do 20% off, BOGO 50% off, etc. Also, there are 12 in a box so that's ~$3.33 per brownie at full price which isn't too bad but…

Eat Me Guilt Free Protein Brownies; specifically the chocolate brownie, chocolate peanut butter bliss brownie, and chocolate hazelnut brownie flavors. I have one with a glass of unsweetened vanilla almond milk almost every night after dinner. 180 calories for 22g of protein with only 7g of carbs, 4g of sugar, and 6g of…

Since you decided to make a post about it, it would have been helpful to read more detailed reasons as to why you find it not to be worth it. All of the reasons you have given are rather vague. You know your reasons for not liking Fitbit and that's fine, but to have a more productive discussion here some more information…

There are things that can mask weight loss such as water weight from starting a new exercise routine, ovulation and/or menstruation, or high sodium days. However, if you haven't lost any weight in a month, the reason would never be that you're not eating enough. Not eating enough calories does not cause someone to maintain…

It's subtracting calories because, according to your Fitbit, you have not taken enough steps to match up with the activity level you set up for yourself on MFP. Until you surpass that threshold for the day, you will not earn any extra calories. It's currently subtracting calories so that you don't eat at a surplus and it…

I'm going to approach this delicately as I see you are only 20 years old, so you have a lot to learn. Trust me, I look back at things I've said and done at your age and I cringe. That being said... There are women your weight who have a smaller cup size than you, there are women your weight who have a larger cup size than…

As I wrote, I didn't say that so you wouldn't post; I said it out of concern. If my assumption was incorrect, I apologize, but you honestly seemed like your posts were coming from a place of worry rather than curiosity.
-
Yes, it's a myth. You've started a lot of threads today. You made a post earlier asking if it was okay to snack, one talking about how your weight hasn't budged in three weeks, and now this one. I'm not saying that to discourage you from posting, it's just that you seem a bit frantic about your lack of loss and looking for…

Most likely a case of someone misinterpreting their fitness tracker's gross calorie burn as net.
-
The way they wrote their post, I believe they mean that their TDEE via their fitness tracker is 2400 with some days being a bit over 3000 which is definitely feasible.
-
Okay, I'm assuming you think it's "gone mad" because you're now getting less calories to eat. Tell me if this is similar to your situation: Scenario 1 - Before negative adjustments were enabled: 1800 base calories + 200 exercise calories = 2000 calories for you to eat. Scenario 2 - After enabling negative adjustments: 1800…

I'd love to help, but I need some more information. Can you be more specific about what exactly confuses you? Some data, like your daily calorie allowance, the adjustments you see on screen, etc. would be great.

It depends on what type of workout you're looking for. For cardio, resistance training, pilates, yoga, kickboxing, etc. many people love using FitnessBlender. The website is free and all their videos are on YouTube. If you're more into dancing, I'm a big fan of Michelle Vo Fitness. I know she also has other cardio…

Are you trying IF for any other reason than to shed off the last few pounds? If that's the only reason, then there is really no need for you to implement IF. From your own post, you know you're undereating and you've been lethargic, so having a limited eating window doesn't seem to be working out in your favor. Unless…

* How many calories are you eating per day? * Are you eating back your exercise calories? * Do you have "cheat" days? If you make your diary public, it would be easier for people to offer suggestions based on your food log.
-
It's not possible to tell how much weight you need to lose but it's evident you hold most of your excess weight in your stomach. Keep eating at a deficit and do resistance training if you aren't already.
-
It's definitely good to use them to visualize, but be careful. When I first started losing weight, I was using something like this but also using a food scale to make sure I was at a deficit. If I would have went by the containers alone, I would have been undereating by hundreds of calories. However, there are people who…
-
Yes. Snacking between meals has no impact on weight loss provided you're still at a calorie deficit at the end of the day.
-
Fitness Blender is usually pretty good at showing low impact modifications. For jumping jacks, you can take out the jumping part and just step one foot out at a time, alternating sides each time. Here's a video that shows an example of it: https://youtube.com/watch?v=5g1T-ff07kM

It tastes like lightly flavored ice. I think it's a waste of money and you're better off going with Arctic Zero, Halo Top, Enlightened, Slim Twin, or any other brand but them.

Fitbit indeed shows gross calories for exercise; there was never a question about that. My question was if Map My Run does the same which would account for the discrepancy of the calories given by MFPs database or the equation above. Either way, yes, the difference can be accounted for this way or by just eating back a…
-
I didn't say they should be disregarded; I simply asked if the reason for the calorie discrepancy was due to BMR being taken into account. I have a Fitbit and I'm aware of how the adjustments work but many people aren't aware. Instead of syncing their device to their account and letting adjustments be made, they make note…
