About the water thing, the rule of thumb is 1/2 your body weight in ounces, *up to your full body weight in ounces (*i don't know one person who actually drinks that much water). So you'd need roughly 73oz of water per day based on the stats you just gave, so you're close with 64. +1 for weighing your food and everything…

I did it a few years ago. Steer clear. It's not worth the small fortune to hand over to this MLM. Just eat less than you burn. You can do this-feel free to add me, I comment and support where I can. Do you know what happens when you stop buying their shake system? You start gaining weight. The "cleanse" system they sell…

I am doing it right now, my window is 11am-7pm. I started with 12-8 but my natural eating pattern started a bit earlier. I am finding that even though I am creating a calorie deficit, mentally I feel like I am less calorie-restricting and more eating-time-restricting. Losing weight has always been a mind game for me, so IF…

I have lost 23lb so far and still in the same jeans. You said your jeans feel loose, so that is progress! Feel proud of yourself for losing your weight and your clothes getting looser because that's awesome!

Dill on cooked carrots is straight up delicious. I like to saute chopped onion with green beans and put a little salt and Mrs dash, I roast onion and broccoli with potatoes and put cayenne or McCormick maple blend on it (I know you don't like broccoli but my mom does it with mushrooms), spinach, bell peppers, onion, grape…

So very disappointing. I'd be loathe to remove an "awesome" for diet Dr Pepper and the doodooness of diet dew.

Can I "awesome" this twice?

Hm if you have not had a period since December, I'd call your OBGYN. Not getting your period is pretty serious, IMO. Hope you find some answers.

Thank you!

This is an AWESOME post. Love the inner dialogue, it's so true!

Stop being melodramatic. You're not being persecuted. As another fellow Christian (read that in one of your posts), I'm miffed that you would put this random discussion on the Internet with a bunch of strangers in the same realm as people across the world who are ACTUALLY being persecuted. It is your opinion. Like elphie…

What are your stats? Height/weight/age/goal? For some people, 1200 is not too low. What do you mean when you say the macros are different? Like different from something you have done before?

I lurve diet Dr Pepper. It's a pink puffy heart love. If drinking it is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I love clothes shopping! The first time I lost weight, I hit up consignment shops as I did not plan to fit into those clothes for very long. Finding outfits that fit me nicely was a confidence booster. When I got to my goal weight I bought brand new clothes and wore those for years. Now that I am doing this again, I like…

This one. Did you set up your profile here when you joined? I'd start with that.

It's possible, I personally haven't done any research regarding the effects of a paleo lifestyle on pcos. But I went paleo a few years ago, and I haaaaaated it. I found it very stifling and unsustainable for me. At any rate, try it out, see if you like it.

Yes!! I have pcos and have lost 21lb so far with 55 to go. I use a food scale and weigh all my food so I have an accurate count of calories in. I don't eat more than 50% of my exercise calories back. I think losing a few lb the week after your period is common, that's the way it's happened with me. Occasionally I'll lose a…

Mine might hang for a second if I'm adding a ton of stuff but nowhere near as time consuming as what the OP is saying. I still have my iPhone 4s though and it is an old model. Do you have a slow internet connection on your computer or is your phone an older model?

I won't speak for him, but I'd say the same thing. My position is that many of those trainers are not qualified or trained to be teaching others on their form. I have seen many a crossfit trainer advocate squatting with your knees past your toes with obscene weights on people's shoulders, bent backs while deadlifting, you…

At one month post partum she is most likely not even cleared for exercise. That *typically* is 6 weeks, and 8 weeks for csection mamas. Focus on eating less than you burn first. If she is breastfeeding, she needs to talk to her dr or get in touch with La Leche League to discuss calorie limits. If your wife has the energy…

My body retains roughly 5lb of water the day before and the duration of my period and about 3lb of water when I ovulate. I still weigh myself every day though, I get a "whoosh" the day after my cycle ends that I like to see.

OP I would second @victoria_1024, it's a guessing game. Using a rule of thumb is helpful if you are trying to get a range, and you can certainly research whatever you want, but you already know that 500 extra calories was working for you, so you know your new number will probably be somewhere between 1400-1900. When I…

The bolded was my experience. I'm not on hormonal BC anymore because they were like crazy pills for me but the pill itself did not make me gain weight.

I'm fat and lazy and have managed to lose 21 pounds so far. I'll echo the poster above: people are fat because they eat more calories than they burn. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. You don't need to be lazy (although sometimes it furthers things along) to be fat.

All of this, as well as identifying triggers for unnecessary eating

Yes, try eating at a smaller deficit, shooting for a pound a week or even .5 a pound a week, depending on how much weight you have to lose. Be aware that as you restrict your calories, your supply may decrease. I've read that it takes on average anywhere from 300-500 extra calories per day to maintain supply. Kellymom.com…

This is actually is my own experience as well. I like the last paragraph especially. It is important for me not to rely 100% on my husband for my weight loss. It is my weight to lose and not his, but with that said, he is my partner in life, cares about me and my health (and my feelers) and if I needed his support, I'd…
