I don't care for the song either but maybe the reason is about our insecurities. I was in the car with three skinny 13 year old girls last weekend when this song came on and they turned it up and sang along. They didn't take offense at all. They love it! I was all ready to have a talk with my daughter about it being ok to…

Does your mom buy all your food? Are you complaining because she only buys junk? You have someone grocery shopping for you!! Be thankful!! Go thank and hug your mother. Learn to be grateful and don't eat what you don't want to.

I would like to join a team! Sounds fun!

I came back from a one week vacation a couple weeks ago. I gained 5 # that week and this week BAM back to pre vacation weight :) . I would bet part of yours is water too. I would think as long as you get back on track now you will be fine.

I'm so glad you guys are on the ball today. I'm sitting here thinking 'what kind of food is this dude weighing at 400# ?!?!' oh, I get it, a people scale not a food scale :)

I can understand that feeling. I would suggest asking the person at the first desk if there is someone close by that could give you a brief overview of _________ machine and maybe a second machine. Let them know you have orientation Saturday but just couldn't wait to use the facility. I bet they will be more than happy to…

I had this same conversation with a coworker this morning. I have done both WW and MFP and in my opinion I prefer MFP. Both are great programs and both work wonderfully. There is however one catch on both.....you have to commit and you have to log everything. Choose the one that works best for YOU.

I don't think its ignorance, I think its self confidence. Many overweight people are afraid of the gym, afraid to take those first steps into the weight room. Weight rooms/areas can be very intimidating. To each their own and to each their own path.

First week back from vacation here and everyday has been a mental struggle. I spent 30 minutes laying in bed this am trying to talk myself out of a run.....finally I sucked it up and went! Some days are harder than others but you just have to do it!!

I had a boston crème today, logged it and loved it! Every once in a while I love some DD :)

Tucson girl here dealing with monsoon season, way humid this month. I run in the morning about 5.30am and by the time I finish its awful but you suck it up. Then I try to swim in the evenings, if the weather is on my side. Going to a gym is always a good idea too and working out at home is nice. Good Luck and stay strong!

This is all such great advice! Thanks so much. This is a pool event not open water. I will get that book and try my best!!

Bad story- l made myself a promise I would schedule my run days and run at 5.30am no matter what, no excuses meant NO EXCUSES. One morning it was cold, very cold and a little rainy. I stood at my front door and talked myself into a three mile run. I live in southern AZ so I don't get cold often and I hate the cold. I ran…

If I exercise more than an hour I deduct 100-125 calories from the HRM total. I figure I would have burned that amount doing nothing at home or staying in bed. I record what I think is above my usual calorie burn. So if you do that your HRM would be right on target.

I love the Zombies Run app! Gives me something to look forward to while running, I really enjoy the storylines. I also feel like I'm saving the world which makes me happy :)
-
Great job!! You look awesome!

I love this app! I run more because I want to know what happens next. Oh, and I feel like a hero. I feel like I save the world everyday before work, makes me happy.

Bump- will definitely try this one!

I have been logging everything for 124 days, in this time I lost 34# and went from a size 16 to 12. I exercise 6 days a week and do my best to stay within my calories. Stay strong! You will get there.
-
Count me in, I almost do 3500 a week and this might be what I need!
-
Thanks so much for sharing! You are an inspiration!! I'm down 32 # and been thinking 50 seems so far away.....you gave me the extra boost I was needing this week :)
-
I tell myself there is no excuses allowed for not exercising and I mean it! I run at 5.30am and there are tons of excuses my brain comes up with, its too cold, its too dark, I'm tired, I need more sleep......I have a million. Finally I decided NO EXCUSES! Last week it was cold and windy (31 degrees, I'm in So Arizona so…

I like playing paintball. Burns calories, its fun and being able to shoot my kiddos and husband is a huge stress reliever!
-
I'm not sure about the gym machines but I run a little over 3 miles in 35 minutes and my HRM tells me I burn anywhere from 560-580 calories. I'm at 194 # now (hopefully not much longer) Keep up the great work!

I live in Southern AZ and I think 55 is cold. I take my border collie mix out with me for 3 mile runs M-F. This week has been the coldest by far, Monday it was 41 and my pup was a trooper. I think yours will be too. I worry about the concrete in the summer burning his paws but not the cold.

I just completed day 21 (I skip a weekend day). I'm on level 2 and I hate the V raises with the chair squat. OMG they are rough for me. I have not yet got enough nerve to try level 3.....hoping to try level 3 next week. Most enjoyable move (meaning I'm not grunting) would be the military press and leg lift in level 2.
