This is ridiculous.

I've lost 60lbs so far and I still have a little over 60 to go. Like others have said, set milestones for yourself and try to reach them, but not just in pounds lost. Try taking some clothes out of the "Someday" pile and make fitting into them a milestone. Set exercise records and try to break them. You will see…

I only yell at cyclists when they're being hazards by not following traffic laws.

I've been eating those kirkland protein bars for breakfast, 8g net carbs, 21g protein, 7g fat, 190cal. Shelf stable so I can keep them in my work bag and don't have to worry about grabbing them in my semi-coherent post-wakeup state in the morning. Other options could be keeping some sous vide chicken breast in the fridge…

No kidding, lol

How about the tumblrina's idea of "intuitive eating" where you eat whatever you want because "your body is telling you that it needs it". And that they'll even out at the healthiest weight for their body.

If it's in the database you can look it up without premium

I resisted delicious donuts through the whole morning meeting

You gotta make it pretty tight

My Charge HR was doing a pretty bad job until I stopped wearing it on my actual wrist, you need to move it up your arm a bit and tighten it so it stays. Now its pretty much +- 5bpm

It's a good program, but it will kick your butt. Don't try to maintain an extreme deficit while doing it, try their meal plan and adjust as necessary. Make sure you maintain form first, sacrificing form will get you injured.

You should start lifting instead of doing cardio only, you'll see better results. Start out with something like Stronglifts 5x5 or Starting Strength, get your form down well, and then keep adding weight.

Yup. Ditch the garbage food and keep some cut up veggies in bags in the fridge. You can take 200g of cauliflower, 100g of broccoli, and 150g of celery, plus 2oz of fat free ranch, and only consume 158 calories. That is a POUND OF VEGETABLES that will keep you extremely full with next to no impact on your bottom line.

But my friend's mom read it on tumblr!

I was lazy when I started losing weight, I'm still lazy now, but I was then too. Only difference is that now I count my calories and exercise in the morning.

Cooking spray being "0 calories" because the serving size is "1/4sec spray", it's still oil, and you have to use more than that. "low calorie" bread that is just a thinner slice of depressing, tough, flavorless bread. Serving sizes for chips of all kinds, like you're going to just eat 14 doritos once the bag is open.

You can't add your existing recipes to new recipes anymore. Like I have a default recipe for pizza dough, I don't want to add the ingredients all over again if I'm making homemade pizza with that same recipe.

My favorite one is that Elon Musk is an alien that was stranded on our planet, and he's trying to advance our technology to the point that he can get home.

Just eat the cheese and log it, why give up something so delicious? If you have the calories for it, eat cheese all day.

I've had a lot more success lately by not removing entire food groups from my diet. I focus strictly on calories, and I exercise every morning during the work week. I enjoy cooking a lot, and by not doing the Remove-Some-Kind-Of-Food-Entirely diets, I can make and eat whatever I want, as long as it fits in my goals. I do…

On a regular basis? No, you really shouldn't. Food shouldn't be a reward or a goal that you look forward to, that doesn't help with breaking the bad habits that got you overweight in the first place. But you're human, if you want to go out with friends now and then and get some nachos and beer, go for it, just log it.

Opinions are welcome but if you're trying to present them as fact then you need to back them up, the starvation mode myth has been busted plenty of times and is a common misconception, which is why people on this forum are quick to squash the spread of it.

"facts"

I got a bunch of chicken breasts on sale and smoked them, simple and delicious. Here's what you do: 1. Trim chicken breasts, add trimmings to your "make stock later" bag. You do have one of those right? 2. Put chicken breasts on a metal rack in a shallow pan, season with salt, granulated garlic, and fresh ground black…

But you also weigh like half of what she does! You're practically at her GW at this point lol. Keep it up, sounds like you're pretty much in the final stretch :)
-
If your estimations are correct, assuming you're both like 25, her TDEE is something like 2700 cal, and yours is more like 1800. That's like 900 calories worth of orange chicken she can eat and still lose. Keep trying to get through to her and she'll see the light eventually :)
-
Obese people have a higher TDEE than people who aren't, she'll plateau sooner than later with that method if she doesn't change her diet.
-
It sounds like even you aren't sure of the question you're asking. What's the source?

How many calories are you eating?
