  • Ahaha! Thank you! I'm unsure of what the code for embedding on here is!
  • It says on the equations "what you need to eat to MAINTAIN". If you take into account that you naturally burn 1500 (for sake of example) then you should eat just as much (at least that's the assumption that I'm under) in order to maintain. Not only are these numbers insanely high, it doesn't make much sense.
  • Thanks again everyone. I dont want to live with them. They aren't cute. I didn't "earn" them, and they are anything but tiger stripes lol. I'll use my tanning lotion and keep losing and hopefully they will become less noticeable! I can assure myself though that I wont be getting anymore as long as I can help it! I use Hemp…
  • All these responses are nice to hear. I knew there was no way to make them go away but since I got them from eating sh*! and not having a child I am not proud of them, they are not battle scars of being a woman, they are embarrassing and awful (IMO). I spend my entire summer practically in a bikini and the less noticeable…

  • Well, I just got mine this last weekend. So far I love it. I think I need to bring down my max HR setting because on the Polar FT4 I was using I would burn a lot more calories. I'm not sure which one is more right (there is only about a 50cal difference). But so far I like the N4. The only bone I have to pick with it is…
  • PS: my HRM is a new balance N4 and I love it. Has the chest strap and everything. My Mom as the Polar FT4 which is also amazing. Both are $70-$100 depending on where you buy them.
  • I have never used MFP exercise estimates but from what I've read they are all a little over generous. However, your HRM is custom to you with your height weight and age and target heart rates. The machines at the gym are always over what my HRM says I'm at, I think this might have something to do with them not taking into…
  • I have 35 to lose, so should I stick to about 1600? Then as I get smaller I should up my intake? (Thanks so much for your help!)
  • I'm still a bit confused (I know I know). So I'm 5'6" 165lbs and I usually eat about 1200 cals a day. Sometimes more, often times a couple hundred less. I work out and burn about 400 every day and my BMR says about 1500. How many cals SHOULD I be eating? Are food like peanut butter (or almond butter, which I haven't tried)…
  • I looked in to fitbit and I read that it is a pedometer so it will track based on steps counted. So for example, if you work out on an elliptical it might not track that right because your body might not always move like a step. I'm not sure about the sleep feature but I read again that it is unreliable and if you roll…
  • I have been using a HRM for awhile and usually whatever equipment I'm on over estimates by about 10 cals (for me) and more for my mom. But I would def go off of the machine especially if you input your age and weight.
  • If you are a FEMALE your max HR should be =209 - (0.7 *age) If you are a MALE your max HR should be = 214 - (0.8 * age) If that helps :/

  • I also use this as a tool. I try to personalize it as much as possible so that if I take the wrong path I feel like I'm letting down my friends. Try to add some to your profile to make it more for you! Feel free to add me!
  • Keep in mind that there is water in everything you eat. An apple is something like 80% water.
  • I am a "yo-yo" too. This time for me is different because more than losing weight I'm trying to make a LIFESTYLE change. I have horrible heart disease (grandpa had a quadruple bypass in his late 20s/early 30s) and cancer in my family. So I want to learn to stay healthy so that I can be there for my future! Add me if you…

  • 0.9 of a pound isn't anything to worry about in my opinion. Your weight will fluctuate throughout the week due to water and waste. One day I might be 166lb and another day I might be 164lb and I've done nothing different from one day to the next. If I were you I would keep up your burn at the gym as many days as you can…
  • 22 college senior about to graduate in May. Would like to lose about 40lbs (in 10lb goals) before I have to try to get out in the workforce and before graduation! Love to lift weights!
  • 22 graduating college student @ 170lbs looking to drop eventually 40. Trying to do about 10 at a time for now! Keeping my goals small so I'm not disappointed! I always feel good after a good hard sweat but getting to the gym (and not eating ice cream or candy!) is a really hard thing for me!
