  • I find if I allow myself a cheat meal (usually on a day I've worked out EXTRA hard) it tends to keep me in line for the rest of the week/day. I tend not to overindulge on things I know I shouldn't be eating and then I don't crave anything else. Someone told me that cheat days are essential to the success of your overall…
  • My "father in law" did it for 2 weeks and dropped 12lbs. My boyfriend tried it and it gave him heartburn so bad he got sick. Plus he was a real butt while on it.
  • There is a beer that's out now--it has a faint taste of Blueberry...I think the name of it is Wild Blue and it has a pig on the label.....O-M-G
  • O dear goodness....hmmmm pick a week. On THE week (and the women know which week I'm talking about) it's Skinny Cow Chocolate Truffle, Cherry Coke, and any chocolate that's been hiding in the back of my freezer. On the weekends--it's Blue Moon-Sunset Wheat or any wheat beer for that matter--Sam Adams Cherry…
  • When you run the 2.5 miles to the gym instead of driving, then run the entire way home.
  • Try mixing in fruit. Or possibly changing your protein. I currently use Optimum Nutrition Mint Chocolate or Double Chocolate...tastes like a milkshake :).
  • I own several pairs of Nike Shox and for my Spin class they are wonderful since I refuse to invest in a pair of special shoes. For running however--I have chosen New Balance Zip 1306's. I got them for $50 at I believe Finishline. I find that they cushion my feet alot better and I don't feel like I'm carrying bricks on my…

  • The BF and I (once we're engaged--if he ever flippin proposes :grumble: ) will not be getting married during Buckeye Football Season EVER. I have a friend who actually moved her wedding date because it fell on the Buckeye/Michigan football game.
  • 1. I don't seem to get into my "groove" until after the 2nd mile. Is that normal? Completely. It takes me the first mile or so to really find my pace for the day. 2. Do you say anything to yourself when you first start off to ensure a good run (mind games)? When I feel like I'm about to stop or walk because I'm getting…
  • Today's lunch is ground chicken--flavored with garlic powder and creole seasoning with a very small amount of cheese on a La Feurza Healthy Choices 6" Whole Wheat Wrap--water.
  • Currently I am reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Another amazing love story set mostly (so far) in 1745. The love scenes are enough to make you :blushing:
  • The reason for this loveable madness is this....the fit models are getting smaller. Companies make clothes for the person that they want wearing it. SO if the fit model is normally an 8 and they only want size 2 people wearing the jeans they will make them so that the 8 is now a size 2. They essentially make the size 2…
  • Helen is selfish and looked sick last night. Mike should have won--I totally agree. The look on Tara's face when she lost was hilarious...bout time somebody brought her down a few notches.
  • I too have a desk job and that along with meeting my boyfriend caused me to pack on the pounds...60 to be exact. I have found that keeping a constant supply of sugar free gum and water on my desk has helped me to curb the mindless eating. If that doesn't work--I also keep nuts and tuna packets in my desk drawer.
  • They even make neon signs that say Man Cave on them--those are a little pricey but too cute. If you go to google and type in man cave sign they should come up. Some of them can even be personalized for extra.
  • So on May 16th I'm doing my 1st 5k since high school--8 years ago! I'm doing it with a friend of mine who has run several 5k's and is currently training for a flippin triathlon...punishment in my book. Just set your own pace--if they mosey on ahead then so be it. If you can't run the entire thing--so be it. Just do what…
  • I recently just bought the BF a "Man Cave" sign. We agreed when we FINALLY buy a house that he can have the basement or designated room as his man cave. Will keep him out of my hair.
  • I can't STAND it when the guys in my Spin class are in itty bitty bike shorts. I'm a girl and I still wear my capris or basketball shorts over my padded shorts. I'm not fat but cmon now! Makes it very hard to focus when all you see is balls.:noway:
  • I actually found them at Walmart with the speciality fancy cheeses...OMG they are soooooo YUMMY!
  • How the heck is this possible?!?! I gained 3.5 lbs but I've dropped a pants size?!?!?  :explode:
  • Ok so since I was sick yesterday and didn't make it farther than my bathroom (laptop is downstairs) I will update with weight this afternoon.
  • My little trick to drinking more water--every morning I fill up this handy little half gallon jug I keep sitting on my desk at work. Every day I drink 1 of those plus a juice--over the course of an 8-9 hour day. Once that is empty I know that I got my 8 glasses or so a day. Also, I have found that keeping that on my desk…
  • Hi my name is Lauren and I'm a Spinning addict. Your tail end is going to hurt but it gets better. I hardly even realize I'm sitting anymore. Oh and if there are different instructors-try them. Each instructor is different and you may not like one or any of them.

  • I'm staying close to my 2,500 according to my tracker. Who knows. Blah
  • Like I'm full and that's it. That's enough. No more. I'm not overly stressed out--Spin and running takes that away. The doctor said I don't have anything wrong with my stomach and my stress tests have come back fine. I just don't get it.
  • Quit Spin?!?!?! Who would suggest such a thing? I'm joking. I'm finding that adding snacks between meals is causing me to have issues swallowing later in the day. Then I end up skipping dinner. I'm not over eating at lunch or breakfast so it's not like I'm stuffing myself full to get to the next meal. I just don't…
  • So let me start by saying I am definitely not starving myself or making myself sick. I have just eaten very healthy. Both my breakfast and lunch are under 400 calories a piece. Egg Beaters-1 slice of ham-1 pinch of mozz cheese, and tomato for breakfast with an 8oz serving of Diet Cran-grape. Lunch was a salad with 1/4…

  • Goodness what I wouldn't give for a freakin Whopper right now...I'd rather have onion rings then fries, but GOODNESS GRACIOUS!
  • So I just finished Spin class #2 for the week. After class the instructor came over and asked "Have you lost weight? It really looks like it." Of course I can tell a small difference in my clothes, but when a man that I only see for 2 hours a week notices...WOW! Don't get me wrong I weigh in and everything, but I guess it…
