  • Depends on my program and what I'm training for but I typically take them every 30-60 days.
  • If you have a heart rate monitor I would recommend wearing it during your class and then just add your burn.
  • Are you running all 3 legs the same day? If so I would definitely break up your runs leading up to the race. You want your body to be prepared to the break between runs. Assuming your run is on the weekend I wouldn't run after Wednesday and spend the rest of race week stretching and possibly practicing yoga. Good luck on…
  • Great job. Modify when necessary and do your best every day. The modifications in this program are great when just starting out.
  • Great job!
  • Welcome. Best of luck on your journey.
  • THIS! Focus on how you look and feel rather than the number on a scale. Add resistance training 3 days a week and focus on your nutrition.
  • Welcome Monica. Focus on the reason you want to lose the weight. For me it was my wife and children and I kept them at the front of my thoughts every day when I started my journey. Be sure you dont drop your calories to low to quickly. You want to eat as much as you can and lose 1-2 lbs a week. Post here for support when…

  • Just for clarification, you don't think metabolic damage is real?
  • When did you weigh 255?
  • What time frame are you talking about? One day to the next? The same day? A week later?
  • Pinterest is great. I also have pretty good luck just googling what I'm looking for.
  • Welcome back. You know what you need to do and how to use the tools properly to get it done.
  • Welcome back Casey!
  • There are loads of vegan protein supplements out there. You're already taking a truck load of daily supplements so I'm not sure why you'd be opposed to adding one more. You could probably find a good vegan protein supplement that you could use in place of some of those multivitamins.
  • I hate this conversation, starvation mode may not be a thing but metabolic damage certainly is and I think that is what most people refer to when they use the term starvation mode. If you are not eating enough your metabolism will slow and burn fewer calories. Your body is a complex machine and needs to be treated properly.
  • Whats up fitty? Welcome to the group. Plenty of support here.
  • Rule number one in fitness is finding things you enjoy to do. If it feels like a punishment or a chore you wont want to stick with it.
  • Pre-packaging foods and loading up the cooler before you leave is a great way. Plan ahead and you should be fine to stay on track if that is what you want to do. Above all else, go and have fun and enjoy your time with family and friends. Dont ruin your weekend beating yourself up and stressing about food.
  • I like to use salsa or make ranch dressing using fage total 0 greek yogurt and a packet of hidden valley ranch powder.
  • What Dianne said. It is going to take some time and gaining knowledge of foods and their macros to get it to all work out. I am a calories first, macros second kind of guy but there are days when I hit my macros dead on.
  • Agree with this. I find that alcohol may not impare your weight loss if you work it in to your macros but it will make it harder to drop body fat. When I started my journey I went 6 months without so much as a beer. It wasnt the easiest thing in the world but it helped keep me honest during the process.
  • I would definitely be eating more calories than that. If youre wanting to burn fat I would go to a 40P/40C/20F split and see how you feel. I would be very cautious doing doubles and listen to your body. You do not want to over do it and get injured and be completely out of the game.

How long have you been at your current calorie level? why would you tell someone not losing weight to eat more calories? I never understood this.... Seems to me I did ask a question that we still dont have the answer…
  • The own side is that you will cause damage to your metabolism. Why would you starve yourself? You could easily be eating 2000+ calories a day and losing at a healthy rate. Instead you are going to crash diet. I would highly recommend against this.
  • "Help!! I seem to be at a stand still with my weight loss, even though I'm working my butt off and consistently eating just under my daily calorie budget." OP has not indicated yet what her daily goal is but has told us that she is consistently under. So you're ok with telling her to cut but are offended that I suggest she…
  • 30 feet from my back door to my garage.
  • Because I see this all the time and have personally experienced it. Your metabolism will slow if your intake is to low. If your metabolism slows enough you wont lose weight. This is why I hate seeing so many people eating 1000-1200 calories a day. You cant keep dropping calories and expect to see weight loss. This is the…
  • It depends on what you are looking to get out of it. The workouts are really good and the containers are great if portion control is something you struggle with. Like everything else, this program and the containers are a tool to get help you on the path to a healthier you.
