Hey Jaime. Is the scale your only goal or do you have other goals? Sometimes chasing a number on a scale, especially when you are already in good shape, can be counterproductive.

The more support you surround yourself with the better off you will be. It still comes down to you but having a strong support system definitely helps.
-
Lots of support and inspiration here but motivation comes from within. Think of your "why" and focus on that to get you going.

Buffalo turkey burgers on the grill with some sliced zucchini.

Remembering why I decided to start is great motivation for me to keep going. Try meal prepping on the weekend for the week. This will help free up some time for you at night where you can get in a quick 20-30 minute workout before dinner.

Great job Jocey. That is the perfect rate to be losing at for long lasting results.

Welcome Jeff. It sounds like your head is in the right place and now is a great time to recommit.

Whats up John. Welcome to MFP. To add a friend just click the persons name and request them as a friend Let us know if you need any help with anything else.

Taking progress pictures every 30-45 days is also a great tool to help you actually see the change. Its hard to look in the mirror and notice the changes on yourself.

You can do this. You didnt get where you are overnight and you wont get where you want to be overnight either. You are strong enough to do it!
-
I would do both. Alternate cardio and resistance days. And try not to focus so much on weight and start focusing on body fat % and how you feel.

Welcome Kathy!

Welcome. Great first week!

Welcome!

Its important to find a strong support system. Hopefully you have family and friends you can lean on that will support your journey. You can also find support through members here as well as online support groups. While you have to put in the work for yourself you certainly dont have to walk alone.

Are you measuring and weighing all your foods before entering them? If you open your diary to public we can take a look and see if anything jumps out.
-
Welcome. What do you seem to be having issues with?
-
Use a smaller plate when eating at home. If you're out to eat, ask for a to go box when you get your meal and put half of it in there before you start eating. We are very conscious with our children not to force them to "clean their plate" or eat all their meal before getting down from the table.

You surely arent recommending this to people are you?

Amazon or ebay. Sidenote: I was at my local Meijer last week and they had the FT7 on clearance for $30.
-
You need to add some resistance training of some sort to your routine. Find some form of resistance (weights or body weight) that you like and add it in 3-4 days a week.
-
Dont. If it was one little bite like that then it wont make a difference. I set my goal and try to stay + or - 100 calories of that goal so that something like that doesnt have to be logged. Now if you are doing that for every meal, every day then you could have an issue.
-
When you are creating the recipe are you putting the correct number of servings and then adding the correct number of servings when you add it to your diary?
-
Welcome Alisha.

Definitely not going to find the answer here. You need to consult a physician and make sure you are physically well enough to start working out and you may meet with a trainer to get a proper starting point for your training.
-
The best time is the time that you can get it done. When I started we tried working out after work but found with 2 kids we were way more likely to skip it so we moved to mornings. We get our workouts in now before the kids are up and find its a great way to start our day.

Being part of a supportive community has been huge for me on those off days. Its great to see others getting their workouts done and know that I need to do it.

Welcome to myfitnesspal. You are in the right place for sure. This app was a key tool in my journey and I'm sure it will be for you too.
-
Its good to track drinks even if all you drink is water. Its good to know that you are hydrating properly.

Congratulations!
