I enjoy looking at beautiful people, both male and female. Its what makes us human. Pretty sure it doesn't make me a perv, just someone who appreciates beauty in all shapes and forms.

I thought this was a wind-up. Its not?? Oh.

I'm from New Zealand and a couple of years ago my in-laws went to USA for a holiday. They were gobsmacked at the amount of food the American people eat, and physically could not eat a whole dinner themselves, so they learned pretty quickly to order one dinner and share it between the two of them. Pretty scary that a…

The biggest thing - is continuing to monitor! Continuing to use a tool like MFP will work wonders. A couple of years ago I reached my goal, and thought I could maintain by myself, and stopped using MFP after a while. Here I am back again, after gaining back 8kgs! This time, I believe I have learned my lesson, and once I…

Hi, feel free to add me. I'm Karen, and we're dairy farming south of Rotorua. I've been on MFP before and got great results - but then I thought I could do the maintenance by myself and stopped using MFP and gained some back. Its now back on here - because I know it works if I'm honest! Good luck with all your journeys - I…

I am a Zumba instructor and I have all sorts of shapes and sizes to my classes! What I emphasise to people coming for the first time is to work at their own pace. Some of the moves can seem a little tricky at first, but I encourage my newbies to just focus on one thing at a time - legs or arms. By encouraging arm movements…

Not sure at how many calories you'll burn, but remember that your weight loss after the concert would mainly be water/sweat! ha ha ha. spent many a happy/sticky hour in the mosh pit... if you're serious about finding the calories - just find a website that can tell you approximately how many you'll burn for x hours of…

You LOOK like a million bucks!! Fantastic jeans and you rock them!

My scales always shoot up 1kg or so when I'm due. Its actually a good reminder for me to make sure I'm *ahem* prepared for whats going to happen for me that day, as I'm not on the pill so my cycle can vary a bit. I know its happening, so doesn't bother me now. It used to - but not anymore.

I went from a 12DD to a 10D - so still a good size for my figure. Bugger having to buy new bras though - those things are expensive@!!

Buckets! I'll lose 1kg in sweat during a Zumba workout - and that is despite almost draining my 750ml bottle of water during the workout! Its not pretty - all sweaty and red in the face, blotchy arms and legs. Thanks for this thread, nice to know I'm not the only one.

Gave my stuff to a charity shop that sells back to the public. I didn't want them lurking in my drawers "just in case" I got that big again. It was my insurance against getting big again. Now, if I feel my size 10 jeans getting a little snug I do something about it. Nicer than not being able to squeeze myself into my old…

Pay no attention to which board you should or should not have posted in. And definately don't apologise. We're all in the same boat here, trying to change our lives so we feel and look better - some people acheive that quicker than others. Please don't be discouraged, you have made a momentous decision to change your…

Yes, sometimes practise my zumba moves in the shower!! Have you ever.... helped calve a cow?

You are amazing. I read your story, but it wasn't until I looked at the pictures of your journey that I had tears in my eyes. You should be proud - you are an amazing person!

i can relate my success to Zumba. I've always struggled with my weight, and have always known I need to do something about it. I can lose it by walking and not eating very much, but then life happens and it creeps up again. In May 2010 a local lady started up Zumba lessons. I went the first time - couldn't see anything…

You are gorgeous! You have such a beautiful smile!

I woke up with my youngest in bed with me - awesome way to start the day! I hosed down the cowshed on a glorious morning (daydreaming) I have played games with my boys all day and loved being a kid again!

these are fantastic! bumpity bump!!

husband is really supportive - but he and the boys still eat their normal food, and I just have my stuff. I was going out to Zumba the other night in a new pair of tight pants (similar to yoga pants) and he told me I looked cute in them. So I jumped him when I came home...

Thanks for sharing - sounds like you've had a tough time, but I'm glad for you that you have made lifestyle changes to manage your weight rather than the quick-fix variety. Those plans are scary, any time I spend on facebook there are always ads on the side asking if you want to lose 6lbs in a week etc - the sensible…

I always have a good breakfast, and I will plan what I'm having for dinner and enter that in the morning. That way, I"m left with X calories that I can consume during the day without going over. Nothing worse that pootling along all day then finding there are no calories left for dinner!

I would recommend dragging a friend along with you to a class - they are great fun! Don't worry about being unco-ordinated, as someone else said - everyone is too busy doing their thang to worry about looking at the new girl! Talk to the instructor beforehand if you can, that way he/she might be able to show you a few…
