I didn't see the meatless meatballs when I was there yesterday. What section are they in?

I can't believe I forgot to mention chia seeds! They are by and far the best things I've found since I started dieting.

I think it's a misconception that you have to eat "breakfast food" for breakfast. Like you, I can't stand the thought of food int he mornings. It usually takes me at least two hours after I've gotten up to feel hungry. When I was younger, this meant I ate a lot of granola bars at school. Now that I am older and work in an…

Grapes, strawberries and apples have almost completely replaced sugar and candy as my "sweet tooth" snacks. I also am a big fan of the weight watchers fudgsicles. I have some Edy's no sugar added fruit bars in my freezer, but haven't tried them yet. Another thing I tend to consider a "treat" is either some chips and salsa…

I'm a big fan of cottage cheese or some chia seeds. They're a little high in sugar, but a Luna Bar or a boost high protein shake are usually my go-to meals on the go to grab if I'm not going to have time to actually eat and I need to not get shaky.

My boyfriend's been doing this for months. Basically the only real carbs he eats are in cheeses. He eats as much of everything no-carb as he wants (and he can eat a LOT of meat and bacon and cheese and salad) and he lost 30 pounds initially, then gained maybe 10 pounds back, then lost 10 then stalled and is now down 15…

Greek yogurt multi grain bread MorningStar Farms products veggie burgers in general What I found amazing was that after I cut out 95% of my sweet, sugary things, I discovered a love of things that are naturally sweet and sugary tasting that I was never really into before, like the fruit and the peanut butter.

Normally I'd mix it with some low fat mayo, but today I tried it mixed with 2tbsp Boathouse Farms ranch dressing (made with yogurt and only 45 cal for 2tbsp, a lifesaver since I live off ranch) and it was awesome. Unfortunately, I tried it on some Ezekiel bread from Trader Joe's I decided to try and I really didn't like…

Thanks to this thread, I bought a bunch of new stuff to try at Trader Joe's today! Purely from your reviews I bought: the Kettle Corn snack bags (ate one on the drive home, YUM!) Ezekial sesame bread (tried it with a tuna sandwich for a late lunch, turns out it's not my thing) honey sesame cashews pineapple salsa their…

I often give in and buy the sweetened vanilla almond milk. it's so delicious and still only 90 calories a cup.

This talk of an additional 68% freaked me out, but in the article someone linked, this paragraph put it into perspective for me:

You should perhaps try flexitarianism first, see how you like it. I didn't even realize that's what I was doing until I went looking online for a diet I could perhaps follow. It's basically cutting way down on your meat, but not cutting it out altogether. For me it's more that meat is expensive and I'm on a budget and also…

I randomly discovered this about two weeks ago. I live by a ghetto Kroger's that never has ANYTHING unique (I have to drive to the more affluent part of town to buy things like Boar's Head pickle spears or Boathouse Farms yogurt ranch dressing), so I wasn't surprised that my Kroger had absolutely NO frozen yogurt in their…

I would assume most grocery stores do this, but I'll buy things that are on "manager's special" because they are too close to their expiration date. Bags of salad or veggies, some of the pre-made stuff like salsas or yogurts, even bananas that are just starting to brown (when they are the sweetest!) I'll go a few times a…

Over a year ago I switched from sugar to agave nectar. I love agave nectar, it doesn't have the same aftertaste splenda has or even stevia, but recently I made the jump from agave to stevia. I'd rather have the aftertaste than feel guilty about the calories. I don't think it'd be a big deal if I didn't have it with my…

This looks awesome! I really love the idea of cooking oatmeal in tea!

I love the Luna s'mores or chocolate peppermint stick bars. They taste like a candy bar. Unfortunately, the have a higher level of sugar to get that taste, but I usually eat one when I am having monster chocolate cravings because the protein and fiber in it make the calories and sugar more worthwhile to me than grabbing a…

Plus, almond milk tastes better :P

Yup. Along with a penne in a creamy red sauce, linguini and clams and a broccoli cheese risotto. I gave in and ate the mushroom ravioli in a carb fix last week.

I fixed my lunch sandwich shop outrageous calorie problem by buying a pack of lean deli meat, a pack of Nature's Own Healthy Multigrain Sandwich Rolls, and putting about 5tbsp of low fat mayo in a small Tupperware. I leave them in the work fridge and make my own sandwiches all weak. They are all under 200 calories a…

Well, now I'm sad. They sound absolutely delicious... but my freezer is bursting and I can't seem to get it empty enough to buy more fun freezer stuff. I have too many bags of their frozen pasta dishes that you cook in the frying pan and the frozen cubes of sauce thaw with the pasta. Those are amazing, but I bought them…

Aside from being an awesome analogy, that seriously cracked me up! Thanks! I always go over on my fiber and strive (but often fail) to go over on my protein. Like so many others here, I have custom set my MFP goals to be higher on those two things. I think my fiber is currently set at 28g and I can't remember what my…

Frozen apple blossoms? That has intrigued me. I will have to look for that. Apples, specifically braeburn apples, are in my current top five fave snacks.

Your trainer would probably put chickpeas in the category of beans. When they said carbs, did they mention beans? If your trainer wouldn't have a problem with you eating black beans, they probably won't have a problem with you eating chickpeas or chickpea by-products (such as hummus).

Qdoba does that too. And Red Robin has a free iPhone app that does that, which is awesome but also frustrating as you can ONLY do it on the iPhone app, not on the computer or on an Android. I asked my boyfriend to install it on his iPhone so I can use it whenever we go there which, since it's a mile away from his…

I haven't been able to find them for almost two years now, but they used to sell what is I suppose was their version of a peppermint patty. It's a thin square of chocolate filled with mint gel. They sold them in rectangular boxes and they were the perfect snack for sneaking into the movies. They fit well in a purse, the…

One of my favorite indulgences there is coming up in a few months! Seasonally they sell chocolate covered marshmallows with candy cane pieces in them. YUM. I stock up on those. That's a dessert that's totally worth indulging in every once in a while for me.

I went through the same realization lately. I honestly had no idea how bad a lot of things were for me. Once I started paying attention to the labels and looking at nutrition values for restaurants online, I was blown away. I thought that by passing on my beloved ranch dressing and ordering balsamic vinaigrette at a…

Don't give up your tortilla chips and salsa! I switched to baked instead of the regular and the only difference I see is that my fingers get less greasy. I mix my salsa with sour cream, and I tried to switch to fat free sour cream to save some calories, but it totally wasn't worth it so I switched back. You don't need to…

Not so healthy, but my FAVE thing of theirs is their roasted pecan and blue cheese dip. Eaten with their ciabattini bread, it's AMAZING! I also love their Israeli feta cheese in the tub, the closest thing to Bulgarit cheese I've been able to find in the states (and believe me, I've looked everywhere I've lived.) Their…
