I was in a similar boat for awhile myself.. especially while during training periods where I was burning large amounts of calories. I found that eat 5-6 meals at 200-300 calories per meal was really helpful for me. The meals are generally pretty small and easy to eat- especially when I wasn't hungry. Eating often keeps…

Whew! I'll be excited to see how many miles you get in per week when you're averaging higher speeds. You'll love it. The first time I hit 50 mph on a downhill I almost started crying haha. The pedals/shoes are wonderful although they do take time to get used to. If you have a trainer you can set your bike in to practice…

I have a Felt (women specific) ZW30. I like it because it's super light (>20 lbs) w/ a carbon fiber fork and rear. Although I have recently removed them, this bike also came with the traditional handle bar breaks... in addition to the typical road bike drop down ones... which was nice while I was getting used to the…

Hello! Well water in itself is nature's best appetite suppressant so drinking lots of it helps. However, there's this product called Diet Water that's supposed to work really well. And its "all natural"- it even tastes like regular water. I've never tried it so if you end up looking into it- let me know how it goes. Good…

Reading all these posts has me itching to ride! What a great sport- so fun- not to mention a great work out that burns a crazy amount of calories. I got a new Felt bike last spring and I still love it. I've been doing the spinning classes- but it's not the same as being out there. Congrats on the new bike! Happy…

I have running forever and have shin and knee problems myself. It's important to stay off the roads as much as possible. Trail running is great because not only does the ground offer a better cushioning system but the looking at the scenery and watching your foot placement also distracts you from the fact that your working…

Welcome! You'll love this site! I just started myself after fighting a losing battle for the past few years. After just a few weeks I am already feeling better about myself! My mom showed me this site and it's definitely nice to be together in this with her so I'd totally recommend getting a buddy on here too! Best of…

COUNT IT! What is a quarter of a pound anyway? There are so many factors that could have affected that! If I were you, and I'm not one to cheat, I'd say count that pound at Congrats!:glasses:

I hear you! Maybe try switching up your work outs? Throwing in a weekly spinning class or kickboxing class could be helpful. Not only does it keep working out fun but new activities target different muscles that could (depending on the targeted muscle) lead to more calorie burning! Also, just because you're not losing…

Hi, I'm Kalyn. I went to school and gained- like so many others- that freshman 15. I was out of control for a while but am now ready to bring my A game to lose 15 lbs before the end of the semester! I appreciate all the help I can get!

I just started to "eat clean" after reading Tosca Reno's book and I am convinced that it is the only HEALTHY way to lose weight efficiently. I just started a week ago but this is the first time that I have never felt hungry while "dieting." BUT, it definitely can be difficult to eat as wholesomely as the book says you…
