Fiber One Brownies - 90 calories of deliciousness and a good bit of fiber... Ghiradellii dark chocolate squares - one of them is enough to satisfy the craving... Luna nutrition bars - they have mini bars - they are all fantastic. I use at least 1/4 of my calories each day on snacks.

1 box of brussel sprouts and a cup of strong coffee. Also, try Phazyme.

Walk to the store instead of taking a car, take the stairs instead of an elevator, ride a bike, swim, jog/run, go hiking, dance, build something (for example: a table or a shed), jump rope, clean the house, clean your garage, just keep your body in motion.

I've gone to Chinese Buffet which has a nice salad bar and can honestly say that I ate healthy. Start with 1 plate of garden salad with lite dressing, 2nd plate with a scoop of cottage cheese and sliced beets (my favorites). Move on to steamed shrimp w/cocktail sauce, a little brown steamed rice, a few nibbles of beef with…

Sauteed zucchini and yellow squash are soft (gets downright mushy when cooked), scrambled eggs, cauliflower and broccoli can get soft if steamed long enough, you can puree your vegetables and make some creamy soup, or drink them cold as vegetable drinks / shakes (think variation of a V-8), greek yogurt. You can also puree…

I eat everything in moderation. I try to stay within the MFP default settings for my carbs. I have lost most of weight this way. I've found that when I go considerably over on my protein my losses slow down, or I gain some... My diary is open. I try to eat keeping in mind the food pyramid now (6-7 servings of grains, 3-4…

I've read that milk is the perfect drink for rehydration... It naturally contains sodium (but not an excess amount), it has carbs, and protein. Try drinking milk instead of Gatorade. It will help you meet your nutritional goals. I also swell when I consume to much sodium... You may not think you are taking in too much, but…

Starting weight on 2/1/2012 = 176 Beginning of this Challenge 4/2/12 = 156 Current weight 5/28/12 = 147 Down 9 pounds for this challenge... 29 pounds overall. In healthy BMI (surpassed my original weight loss goal of 150). Current goal weight is 139 (considered ideal weight for my height of 5 ft 6 inches) Not in a huge…

My belly is far bigger than anywhere else on my body. I've lost 29 pounds, am comfortably in a healthy BMI, wearing a size 8 pants, and still have a disproportionately large belly... My legs, hips and butt would easily fit in a size 6 - it is just my belly holding me back... Thinking I'll need to lose another 15 or 20…

NO. Drink iced tea instead. Soda is a bunch of nasty chemicals. No nutritional value at all. Herbal teas can taste sweet without even adding sugar. My favorites are Bigelow Perfect Peach and Bigelow Mint Medley. I make pitchers and refrigerate them. Great for a tasty drink with no calories. Buy a bunch of cooler cups or…

OMG - I can't stop laughing at this. I honestly have tears coming out of my eyes from laughing so hard... Thank you so much for the comic relief... I've have some funny stories about my own kids, but this is by far the funniest thing I've heard in a long, long time.

I don't stress about it... If I'm eating healthy most of the time, my body and the scale don't seem to care if I indulge on weekends. My advice, be sure to workout in the morning, eat a healthy breakfast, keep sensible snacks around (nutrition bar, V-8 juice, raw veggies) and drink a bottle of water between each alcoholic…

This is an exerpt from an article I read: "Blood contains proteins totaling 33-38 grams per pint, says Lora Sporny, Columbia University professor of nutrition and education. At four calories per gram, this translates to 132-152 calories, plus a small number expended by the liver to generate plasma components. Beyond the…

I probably wouldn't unless it is much more strenous than your normal activity (since you've already said you have your setting at active)... Do you feel more tired after doing chores on the weekend? Are you sore? Are you a sweaty mess? If not, just chalk it up to your normal active lifestyle. A better way to judge would be…

I eat most of them back and I continue to lose weight each week... I'm down 28 pounds in less than 4 months. I'm in a healthy BMI range now and just trying to shed my last belly fat... I highly recommend that you eat what you burn. You are already starting at a several hundred per day calorie deficit. Why would you want to…

Spaghetti Squash - I steam mine in the microwave. Cut lengthwise - scrape out the seeds and loose fibers. Set cut side down in a pan or bowl with an inch of water and steam for 8 - 10 minutes (depending on the size of the squash. Remove with fork and it will be strands that resemble spaghetti. Top with your favorite sauce.…

Snyders of Hanover Eat Smart Veggie Sticks (reminds me of Muncho's - only healthier - not as salty and doesn't tear up your mouth). Celery stuffed with garden veggie cream cheese or peanut butter. Luna bars (Chocolate Peppermint Stick is sinfully delicious). Cottage cheese with beets. Steamed cauliflower seasoned with Mrs.…

You need to make ambrosia 12 hours to a day in advance or it won't be right... Best if it sits overnight. The marshmallows need time to disintegrate beneath the sour cream to give it a little sweetnees.

I think you need to eat more. Set your goal to lose 1 pound per week - eat what MFP tells you to and you will probably see a 2 pound per week loss.
-
I almost always eat them. Most of the time I exercise so I can eat more. It is insurance against hunger for me.

I've eaten mashed cauliflower at restaraunts, but never made it... Thanks for the recipe. I can't wait to try it.

I agree wholeheartedly. Your doctor meant to scare you. Obesity is scary You are so young, but simple changes in your life WILL make a huge difference. I never stopped eating - I eat plenty - and do moderate exercise - and have lost 27 pounds in the past 3 months. Feel free to look at my diary. Do not starve yourself.…

I drink a couple of cups of unsweetened tea each day. My favorites are Bigelow Earl Grey Decaffeinated, Bigelow Perfect Peach Herbal Tea (delicious iced), and Bigelow Mint Medley - also herbal and good iced too. I avoid caffeine because I have high blood pressure and am sensitive to it. I get jitters and hyper from it. I…

Look for the manager specials in the produce and meat sections. They are close to expiration dates. If you cook them right away or within a day, you will be fine and can eat the left-overs... Use coupons. Look for stores like Produce Junction that sell bulk cheap. Join a food co-op with friends, family or neighbors to get…

I usually eat Thomas' Light Multigrain English Muffin - 100 calories with lots of fiber with 1 tablespoon almond butter and 1 tablespoon of Polaner all fruit with fiber and a cup of skim milk - it is 305 calories, delicious and keeps me full for about 4 hours.
