I am 51 and have lost 16, with 11 to go, or at least that's what my goal says. I am pretty happy with my current size, so really not as worried about the weight as I am keeping on the lifting and running and diet program. My bigger goal is to keep strong and healthy so that when (if) I ever get to retire I will be able to…

Natures way Hair, Skin and Nails gummies are delish and make your nails strong. Hair seems thicker too. Much tastier way to go. Don't know about the energy either, as that is attributable to working out and eating better.

you might find this inspiring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX9FSZJu448 . This guy not only lost weight, he changed his life.

I am 51, and know the feeling. It is so much harder to lose at this age, but it was really easy to put it on! I have lost about 15 pounds over the last year, and have about 10 more to go. It's tough, but I've come so far and I am not quitting now! Feel free to add me.

I had my gallbladder out 4 months after my second child. It takes a while for your body to adjust to processing fatty foods. Logging your food may help; I found that it really was only a problem in the morning, after that it didn't seem to matter.

Had this. My last real period was April. At least I am pretty sure it was April. You think it is just going to go on and on, and off,..and off..and off.., and then ON- and then one day it doesn't. And you didn't keep track. And when I say you, I mean me. I will probably carry a tampon for the next 5 years. Just in case!

When I started this, I wanted to be able to get into a certain pair of shorts. This weekend I buttoned them! Still need a bit more off to wear them comfortably after "swimming" in my bigger shorts, but I am so dang proud of myself!

This is me. In my mind i am much thinner than reality. I am trying very hard to make the two match up, but i will never be as thin again as I was at 21, unless I was very ill. That's okay with me, if I could get within 5-10 pounds of my driver's license weight, that would be enough- 8-13 pounds to go for that to happen!

Fantastic results!! What a great idea, re-creating the pictures! You look great. Keep with the c25K, it's such a great way to become a runner. I am sure someone will share some other suggestions, just wanted to congratulate you!!!

Have you tried Greek yogurt blueberry pancakes? Its is really easy and they are pretty tasty. You just take a 5.3 oz container of nonfat Greek yogurt, 1 egg or two egg whites mix the egg into the yogurt, add 1/2 c flour and 1 t. baking soda and mix in. The batter is really thick, so then you scoop the batter onto your…

i am in the same boat! I have been struggling to keep below 145 at 5'7" and even though i am losing inches and things just look better, the scale doesn't budge. I got down to 142, but my goal is 130-135. I have been at this for 2 years, and run 3 x week and work out with weights 5 days a week. Oh, and I am old (51) which…

Lay's California Cool Dill potato chips. Probably just as well they aren't available, as my willpower would be what was missing then.

Wow! It took me a moment to figure out the order of your pictures, since you look so much younger now! Great job!

when you keep stepping on the bottoms because they won't stay up!

Had mine out 22 years ago. What a relief it was, too! I only find issue with greasy foods - but it has improved over the years, but I still avoid them just because i shouldn't it that stuff anyway. You will feel better and better as you go along. t will take a few months to really feel like you are back to normal.

My new favorite thing to do with chicken breasts is poach them and then shred them using the mixer. It really works! Then you can use the shredded chicken to make sandwiches, salads, casseroles, soups, tacos, etc. I make a bunch and then weigh it and portion it out. Freezes well too. Also very fond of making cutlets…

I went through the same thing. Stretch, Stretch, Stretch! I stretch before, I stretch after my warm up, I stretch after now. My favorite stretch for the shins is put your toe up against a curb or stair and lean into it. You will feel it. Massage works well too. I also like compression socks on my shins, but not everyone…

I did the C25K beginning of last year, and still run 3 times a week. I started doing intervals to increase my speed, usually running at least 5K per session. Have now started increasing mileage. Something you might find useful that I wish i had done earlier is keep a log of what I run, speed/frequency of intervals (if on a…

Pretty sure I would choose to sit next to her over that trainer any day! Spending his time taking photos of the lady in front of him, probably an arm rest hog... plus - she had better seats!! He seems like an *kitten*. Hate the sin, not the sinner.

Glad you caught it! Thank you for sharing, maybe you will save another life too!

Thank you, I didn't see this. I am showing no activity which is reducing my calories, so that explains it.

I absolutely hate canned or tinned vegetables, though I have finally come around to eat canned corn. any vegetable I didn't like has been overcome by roasting. Love, love, love roasted brussel sprouts, kale, asparagus, cauliflower. roasting brings out the natural sugars, and changes the texture to give them a bit of…

I had mine out 20 years ago, and had no dietary restrictions, but like many of the previous posters, some foods didn't agree - specifically anything greasy or fried. Fried chicken was the worst! If you had pain before, you will probably be cautious around that type of food already.

meganjcallaghan , God Bless you! You gave a new life, just like all us C-section gals, and it was worth the scar. I had two C-sections, and on vbac. Wish I had just had a third C-section, the vbac was hard! Mine was 25 years ago, and sorry to tell, it never really goes away. My scar adhered to my abdominal wall so in that…

Unless you tell people that you are trying to lose weight, they likely won't say anything. I am sure you probably aren't wearing the same fitted thing you are in these pictures every day, so they can't see your form. You DEFINITELY look different! Way to go!

Congratulations! You look fantastic! Your daughter is adorable BTW! Good job Mom!

Makes you want to get back out and do it again, huh? Great feeling! You are building up your endurance, the speed will come later! The first few minutes are the hardest!
