  • Looks like everyone did great on their October goals. Hooray! Uh, I ended October at 175-176. I just didn't log it. So I lost about 3 lbs. Which I'm totally happy about. I didn't get much walking in. Maybe 2 in the month. I did get to work 40 hours a month in September and I think I did the same in October, but haven't run…
  • Hey, y'all. Just wanted to show that I'm still alive. To summarize the last few months: Bruce got colic. Bruce turned into a refluxing vomit comet. Bruce refused to sleep anywhere but in swing, and refuses all bottles. Feeding/sleeping/schedules = total crap. Found out Bruce has torticollis. Started stretches and routine…

  • Hey guys. I've been trying to jump back in. So, I started out October at 179. My goal is 172. Right now: 174.4 That is mostly because I have a cold/cough/sore throat and the cold meds are making me lose water weight. I'm actually 176 probably. But still, Huzzah! Other goals: Go for a walk once a week. Work 10 hours this…
  • @SheilAnneSmith Great to see you doing so well. Andrena is so beautiful!
  • I know this is an old post, but I got pregnant with a short luteal phase. I think mine was between 9 and 11 days. I tried taking supplements like evening primrose oil and using an estrogen cream to extend it. As I tracked more and more ovulations, I found that some were way shorter than others. But I generally found that…
  • @Leannep2201 Hi! Cheering for you this round. @pezhed I experienced the lonliness and isolation while pregnant too. I just felt like it was hard to relate to my friends, especially when I was home sick a lot. Hope you find a good group of peeps soon! Enjoy the choir! @VeryKatie Super excited about your baby girl! The name…

  • @SheilAnneSmith Jeeze, you're not a failure! You made a human. And she's a really great human at that. And she's doing well because of all your efforts. But I understand how stress and hormones make one feel terrible regardless. I seriously don't know how you're juggling a new baby and being back at work. You're amazing.…
  • @NatashaLP2014 Hi, nice to meet you. Very sorry for your loss. Mrr, so feeling proud of myself. Twice this week we have gone out and walked around the track at night with baby. I' still pretty tired and sore but it felt good to get out and do some kind of exercise.

  • Thanks everybody! He's just getting cuter by the day. :3 @VeryKatie Well, they tried hip and spine squeezes, but they hurt way worse, so I stopped them. I just couldn't stand anyone touching me except for holding my hand. Nor could I stand being still long enough for anyone to massage me, and anytime someone got close to…
  • Thanks, everyone! And omg. I am learning now what everyone keeps talking about when they say "cluster feeding." Wow, just wow. I hope I can survive.
  • Ok, so here's how things went down. Friday I felt very tired and grumpy and wanted to sleep all day. I went to my regular midwife appointment and learned my intense "Braxton Hicks" contractions were actually the real deal because of the back pain they were giving me. And hopefully, I was dilating a bit. But that still…
  • @mebelfanti Hi, I'm Lizz. Welcome to the group. It helped me a whole lot being here.
  • I gained 13 lbs by week 16--mostly in my tummy and boobs. Hope that helps.

  • Changing my goals for July to mild weight loss and eating well for recovery. So far I've gone from 200 to 180 lbs in lost baby weight. Yar!
  • P.S. How do y'all log breastfeeding? I know right now it's not burning many calories, but I wanna try to recalibrate my nutritional goals to fit post pregnancy life. *Edit. Ok, nvm. I found it under foods as negative calories. Yay.
  • Welp, baby decided to come early. 7-7-18 at 7lbs 4 oz. I'll post more when I'm not so worn out. Recovery is gonna take a bit, and not much sleep is happening. we're still getting used to each other. ha.
  • @SheilAnneSmith Wow. You've been working really hard, it sounds like. I'm glad you're at least getting a few hours of sleep in now! Especially since I'll soon be going through the same thing. Heh heh. Glad baby is gaining weight and the formula and nursing pillow have helped. Someone gave me a nursing pillow. I washed the…
  • @pezhed OMG!!! Happy Independence Day! Congratulations! Maybe baby just wanted to be a Virginia baby instead of a Colorado baby. ;) . Anyway Keep us up to date how you feel.

  • Sounds good, @VeryKatie. My goal is to not gain too much weight in the next few weeks. The midwife keeps fussing at me for weight gain and going over my goals. Although, the scale at her office in the evening shows a much higher number than mine at home in the morning. I still should try. I kinda gave up on exercise though…
  • @WifiresGettingFit Bummer. Hope something turns up for you soon! Thanks for the encouragement.

  • Soo, I dropped my laptop and broke the screen in 4 places. It's unusable. Until I get it fixed, it's hard for me to get online. And I might have to choose between that and a new fridge. Booo! Also, I'm struggling with a lot of anxiety, depression and mood swings caused by hormones. Seriously, I'm shocked by how bad I've…

  • @SheilAnneSmith Wow. Hang in there! Praying for your sanity and rest!
  • @girlalmighty08 Congratulations! How awesome! And yeah, try not to worry too much. It's gonna be great. @VeryKatie Sounds like a plan. And that's great about the ultrasound! So much fun!

  • @VeryKatie >__<; Oh yeah, CONGRATS! I misread your earlier posts and thought you were trying, not that you were already at 7 weeks. Haha. @pezhed tks!

  • @gingermary82 any updates? @girlalmighty08 I had pms cramping for a few days but AF was two days late. At the time, I didn't have my hopes up because I thought it was the progesterone cream extending my luteal phase. Got a faint positive on a cheapie test around 12 dpo--and strong positive on a dollar tree test the next…
  • Great news! I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and that baby is gaining weight. I've never heard of fenugreek used for that? Thanks for the tip. I'll try to remember it later.
  • @VeryKatie So last night in our second prenatal class (neonatal care), we finally got to breastfeeding. There was a lot of good advice. Also, a lot of encouragement as the midwives feel that the first two weeks of breastfeeding/early motherhood are terribly hard on one. And they also talked about how they can help, as well…

  • Welp, I'm gonna go ahead and call it for the end of the month. I've done ok with not gaining a lot of weight this month. I've stayed around the same weight for about 5 weeks now. I've given up on any sort of exercise though. I'm too tired/hot/sore/puffy/braxton-hicksy/out of breath. So I'll have to keep that in mind for…
  • Wow. Thanks for sharing! Heh, that's insightful about how you cleaned up at work as your nesting burst. And everything sounds like it happened so fast after your last dr.'s visit! Sorry things didn't go as planned. You held up like a champ though. I think you did great! Baby getting turned around is not something you could…
