Hello, peeps!
Hello, I'm Lizz, and just joining the TTC bandwagon. The hubs and I have been married a year on the 17th. I'm 34 and at my highest weight ever (172-176 lbs). I think being on birth control really messed up my weight. I've gained 30 lbs since I started dating my husband. (So did he, poor thing.) The last 15 lbs seem…

28 Days Left
Hi, everybody! I just thought I would let you guys know that I'm still alive and hanging in there. I got super stressed out, sick, and overwhelmed a few months ago and dropped off the radar. Also, the internet at my house wasn't working too well. My weight has actually gone up a few pounds since January, not down. >__<; I…

Stress Management
What sort of tactics do you use to help yourself manage stress? I'm having trouble with racing thoughts. All the plans and ideas and items on my short term and long term to-do lists keep running through my head, especially at night when I should be sleeping. I think perhaps if I write out all my concerns and to-do's on…

Are you ladies doing hair up or hair down? What about your bridesmaids? What sort of styles do you favor? Are you doing anything special to keep your hair healthy while you tone up/slim down for your wedding?

Low Impact PS3
Hey I have a question for you gamers out there. Are there programs with low impact exercises for PS3? My brother and I are going in in on a PS3. I plan on getting something to help me work out. It would be great if there was something low impact for my mother, though. Her knees are quite bad. Even walking is difficult for…

Taco Bell 'Beef' Less than 35% Beef?
I pulled this article off the Drudge Report this morning (originally from CBS). I don't know if this lawsuit will be successful or not since the charges haven't been proven, but I'm curious to know what's really going on inside my taco.…

Curious about kickboxing
Hey-hey. For the new year, I'm thinking of taking up kickboxing. I'm interested in it because I'm a single woman and would like to learn some self-defense. Also, there's that element of fitness. Those of you who take classes, how often do you go? Do you need to go every day? Do any of you guys compete, or do you kickbox…

Low Level Laser Therapy
Hi MFPers, I have a question about dealing with knee pain. My mother was approached by a woman last year who recommended low level laser therapy or LLLT for her osteoarthritis on the knee to reduce knee pain and allow her to walk better. We've done a little research online and found conflicting reports about this…

How Have Your Taste Buds Surprised You?
My taste buds have been turning themselves inside out lately. I'm eating stuff I never thought I could stand, let alone crave and love. The biggest surprise I've had since I started eating right, is my new tolerance and craving for seafood. I even eat it without drowning it in creamy sauce! So what about you? How have your…

A mile!
I ran a mile without stopping for the first time in 10 years! I even went on to walk another mile afterward. I didn't feel at all sick or faint. This sounds like a very small thing, but it took me months to achieve. It's been a major goal of mine. So all of you walkers out there who want to be runners, you can do it!

What a great place!
Hi, folks. A friend of mine recommended this site to me, and I joined it last Monday. So far, all I can say is I love it! I've never tried a food diary or calorie counter before this and used to make fun of people who did. At the end of last month I had a birthday and made a resolution to take better care of my body this…
