While I don't know if eating foods high in fat MAKES you fat, eating anything in excess is probably not good for you. I looked at your diary and there's things you could simply cut out that could help you reach your goals of being under your fat intake for the day. Get rid of the high fat dressing, eat less peanut butter,…

4oz of meat is generally the same size as a deck of cards. I suggest getting a food scale. They're pretty cheap ($25 - $30) and you can get them at places like Target, Walmart, etc.

Your body constantly burns calories - even from just sitting. How your body burns though is generally dependent on your heart rate. If you want to keep a tally of what you're burning, I'd suggest getting a heart rate monitor. You can wear it the entire time you're at the gym, including strength training, and see what you…

A human's weight will fluctuate around 5lbs a day on average. It has to do with water weight mostly. When you're lifting weights, you're essentially inflaming/tearing your muscles, which could cause you to retain more water to help the process of healing.

Looks like juice and milk, the kind you'd get at a school cafeteria.

I think a lot of people don't really "see" a difference. It's hard to notice something when you look at it every day, live with it every moment. A before and "after" picture might really help you see a difference. Take a picture of your body now, then wait maybe a month and see if you notice the chances! I bet you will,…

So far I've been doing A LOT of biking. Yesterday I biked for two hours! It's awesome and I love it. On days that my thighs and booty need a rest, I do just jogging on the treadmill, or walking. I also use the elliptical but that doesn't really give my thighs a rest... lol I do weight train though, but really only two days…

While I agree with the others said 110%, it's also useful to breath IN through your nose and out of your mouth. Your nose is better at filtering the air and getting it to your lungs than your mouth is! Otherwise though, you gotta build up! Start by walking, jogging for a bit, walking, fast walking, etc, until you build up…

I look up food first before I eat it. That way, I know how much I should/can eat of it. I've become kind of obsessive about it, I feel..... weird if I can't figure out how many calories a food I've eaten has :(

I just got my Polar HRM and I'd say the calories burn is fairly on target. MFP says I burn around 700-ish calories while biking and my HRM put me at just under 800 after biking for two hours yesterday. Very very spot on. I'd say it's accurate because it goes based off of your heart rate... and MFP, and machines are only…

It could be what you're eating. Exercising coupled with a poor diet could really run your body into the ground. When I ate bad, I had no desire to do anything at all, except sit, and exercising didn't make me feel any better. I've been eating more fruits and veggies, trying to get away from processed food as much as…

MFP put me at 1200 calories a day, and I did not see any results. I also thought I was "sedentary" but I also work out a minimum of 5 days a week - usually closer to 7. I do have a desk job, but I still make time to exercise and move around, so even though I may sit for awhile, I don't consider myself "sedentary". I…

My fiance and I have been playing the past couple of weeks, hoping to win SOMETHING. I'd be happy with 10k :P Tonight or tomorrow we're buying again! Can't win if you don't play!

I exercise 5 days at week, but more often then not I'm exercising 7 days a week.

I'm confused about sedentary now... lmao :( why is weight loss so confusing! I bounce back and forth between having a "sedentary" lifestyle, especially if I'm making time every day TO be active at some point, like working out at the gym, or biking, etc. Are you still "sedentary" even if you're going over an hour, perhaps a…

I thought about changing my goals but I'm confused, because I do sadly have a desk job + school, so while I may walk around on campus a lot, I'm also sitting in a class room for an hour and a half to 3 hours at a time. So would I really want to change it from sedentary? I DO try and exercise EVERY day, whether it's the…

I was under the impression that when you start to eat under your BMR, your body will convert muscle first to energy. And, people who are on those TV shows tend to have extreme amounts of weight they need to lose, therefor calling for a more "extreme" approach to losing, no? According to that link,…

Any ideas? :)

I have pretty big gal's for my frame, being only 5'2 and 150lbs... I've had DD's since I can remember (even when I was at my lowest weight, 126lbs, THEY never got smaller!). So I know your pain! I recently ordered a Moving Comfort sport's bra and let me tell you, best thing ever. The only problem is that it's HARD to get…

I've been on birth control since I was around 13/14. I'm 23 now and have never had any issues at all. I've also been on many different types, as I tend to switch a lot (for many different reasons, including insurance coverage). I've never heard of any special pills for smokers... I don't think there is any, because birth…

My upcoming wedding. My boyfriend of over 5 years proposed to me in December and I didn't want to look terrible at my wedding. I want to be the beautiful, shining bride where people can say, "WOW" and REALLY mean it. Plus, last weekend we secured our venue and my mom wants to send out our "save the dates" with his and mine…

I'm a college student who also works, so feel free to add me as well :D

Right now I'm using Nike Shock's as my workout shoes. Secondly, I do have a gym membership so I do have access to an elliptical machine. Third.. I *think* my form is okay, but without somebody watching I guess I can't know for sure :( I will have to check our home treadmill... it is an older, very used unit so that very…
