This seems kind of silly to me. I know MANY people who are slim, but I don't go around congratulating them because of how they naturally look. If they put effort into their health, I would absolutely commend them. My sister, for example, is tiny and in my opinion has the perfect body. However, she does nothing to achieve…

I'm sure a million people have told you this already, but you are seriously amazing. Not only did you lose the weight, but you got yourself into the most incredible shape. I commend you for that, great job!

Absolutely love these threads. You all are amazing. I'll be posting pics here soon enough.

I am trying to eat between 1400-1800 calories a day depending on my workout for the day, but my progress seems to be slowing down. I am doing the P90X program, so I am strength training 3 days a week, 1 day of Yoga, and 2 days cardio. How long did it take for you to drop your weight? I'm curious because you have a similar…

How long did it take for you to lose the weight you have lost? I am also 5'2", my starting weight was 179. So far it has taken me about 2 1/2 months to get down to 159 pounds. I'm just wondering because you started out with similar stats to mine.

Agreed. Living off of 1200 cals or less per day would make me miserable. Yes, this is something that could be done for a short period of time, but it would be too hard for me to keep it up in the long run. This is why so many low cal diets have failed me in the past. I would do it for a couple of months, lose some weight,…

Wow, great job! You look so lean and toned!

You have a stomach most women aspire to have. I wouldn't want to be thin with zero curves. That would make you look like a man.

I am finishing up my 3rd week of P90X. I have lost about 6 pounds since I started this program, and I can feel I've gotten stronger and am able to do all the moves better and better each day. I'm not sure if my body looks much different yet, but I figure I haven't even finished the first month so I'm not really worried…

Wow, great results! BTW love the New Year's Eve outfit!

Exactly, there's no getting through to some people. If she's happy with what she's doing more power to her. I'm going to keep on eating healthy and exercising because I don't just want to be skinny, I want to be healthy.

Good advice, it's shame it has to come to this. I'm so excited about what I'm doing with my life, but I know not everyone is like me so I just have to let it go.

I know, and don't get me wrong I have definitely had that same mindset in the past, but it all has to do with ignorance. I know now that starving yourself and/or popping pills is not the way to lose weight. I also know that lifestyle is dangerous and unhealthy. Some people just can't give up the junk, so they try to take…

9 love the puckered lips

I lifted weights a couple years and lost like 30 pounds. I was in the best shape ever! Way better shape then I was with hours of cardio. I stopped working out for a couple years and gained weight back, and I just started working out again a few weeks ago. I'm doing the P90X program which is mostly heavy lifting. I already…

I agree with most everyone else. You are not eating nearly enough. Your body doesn't want you to starve yourself to death so it is hanging onto the fat. Also, you may want to watch your sodium intake, and get most of your calories from clean foods. For example, instead of eating candy, eat fruit when you crave something…

I don't like greek yogurt by itself either, so I add a little bit of stevia to it. It cuts out the bitter flavor, and you're left with a smooth and creamy yummy treat. I eat it just about every day now.

Oh no definitely no hard feelings here. I love a great debate as well! Truthfully, nutrition is so complicated and there is so much good information and MISinformation out there that it's had to separate the two sometimes. I was pretty much thinking along the same lines as you - two egg servings five days per week sounds…

I apologize, I must have missed your chart. You don't have to get upset with me, I just I always thought it was best to not eat more than 2 egg yolks per day. I'm not really worried about the cholesterol because I know that is a myth, but the fat can add up pretty fast. I like to get fat from other sources throughout the…

Thank you for posting this. People jumped down my throat when I wrote about skipping on the "yucky yolk." It was just my personal opinion, and I've read plenty of research to substantiate claims against eating so many egg yolks. Don't get me wrong, I think one or two whole eggs per day is perfectly fine and they can offer…

You seriously look like you could be a model. You have a gorgeous face, and fantastic results. Great job!
-
I believe egg WHITES are good, not that yucky yolk in the middle. The only problem I have with eggs is they are relatively high in sodium for being such small doses of food. I eat egg whites just about every day, I love them!

This looks like so much fun, and I would love to do it, but I don't get the opportunity to run very much. I work-out early in the morning, and I get my cardio in through the P90X program, but I don't run. The weather in my area is usually terrible, so running outside is kind of out of the question. If I get myself in good…

From my experience (and from what I have heard from others) it is best to eat more than 1200 calories a day, but not eat ALL of your exercise calories back. I have been eating between 1200-1400 calories per day depending on the exercise I did that day. I eat around 1400 calories on strength training days (mostly because my…

Have you ever read the Clean Eating Diet book by Tosca Reno? This is one of my favorite books in this category because Tosca is amazing and has great tips for clean eaters. I'm trying very hard to eat clean, and I'm doing pretty well, but I'm definitely far from Tosca's level of clean eating at this time. Anyway, if you…

Love all these pics, very inspiring!

You have only been doing this since December??? Wow, you are incredible!

I love this thread. I just started P90X, and I have always been one of those obsessive scale people. After reading this thread, I have decided to keep away from the scale until I hit my 30 day mark. I don't want to get discouraged if I see weight gain. I hate that I rely on the scale so much. I know this program will work,…

Thank you sooooo much for posting these pictures. This is so motivating. I just started P90X this past Monday, and I'm so excited to get results like yours. It's funny because you didn't drop a huge number on the scale, but the differences in your pictures are amazing! I can definitely see a big difference especially in…

This is by far my favorite thread. It is soooo motivational to see other moms getting amazing results. I have never been one to believe that you lose your identity, or your hot bod, just because you become a mom. Thanks for sharing!
