Exactly the same for me. Proteins I always keep in my freezer = chicken, tilapia, shrimp, tuna or swordfish steaks, pork tenderloin My favorite veggies = kale, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, sugar snap peas and I always keep avocados on hand too

There is really no way to know for certain. I recommend getting a heart rate monitor. I live by mine. It is the only way to get accurate calories burned when exercising.

the personal Digorno pizzas are only 300 calories (I had one last night :p )

i live by my food scale

Last night for dinner we had swordfish with sauted kale & corn on the cob!

I wear mine as well, although I do not have my flex linked to my mfp account.

I think calorie counting is totally manageable for the long term! It is an easy and effective way to manage what you eat and your weight. I also feel that it is incredibly helpful in teaching portion sizes so even if you do stop logging or counting calories you can still visualize what a correct portion of something is and…

My breast size fluctuates heavily with my weight. I was a 34 C when I was at my lowest (125lbs) now I am a 34 DD at 145 pounds. Pretty crazy, had to buy all new bras!

I always make a fritata or quiche on Sundays to have for the rest of the week. For example this past Sunday I made a fritata with kale, mushrooms, onions & tomatoes. I saute up the vegetables with a tablespoon of olive oil, salt/pepper, italian seasoning, then place them in a large glass baking dish (sprayed with nonstick…

i'm 1200 calories/day and its public :)

Think non-processed as much as possible when it comes to what to eat. There isn't really a "right v. wrong" food when it comes to calorie counting and weight loss but substituting highly processed items with fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins will make a big impact on your weight loss as well as how you feel. For…

Yes, I have discovered weighing out portion sizes versus measuring has often been a noticeable different. For example just today, I made a Green Giant steamable broccoli & cheese to go with my lunch. The serving size said 2/3 cup, but 120'some grams... Weighing it out was more than the 2/3 cup. Now, I strictly weigh…

I can not speak for other people and how they feel, as for me I have cut back heavily on my bread consumption just because I have a huge addiction. I love all bread and I realized after several personal experiments that I tend to get hungry sooner after I eat bread so I tended to snack more often. Also, bread makes me…

Hey there! I am on a 1200 calorie/day. I would love for some new motivated friends with similar calorie goals. Please feel free to add me ❤

Thank you for the recipe! and yes, I LOVE my food processor. I worked as a sous chef in a kitchen and we used ours for everything there. My husband bought me one two years ago and I shoved it up in my closet only using it occasionally. I have finally just decided to make a permanent space for it on my kitchen counter. I…

Any and all hot sauce. My husband and I have a hot sauce addiction and we have a rather large collection of hot sauces we have collected during our travels. I like my food to be SPICY.

Yes I typically log my meals in advance (the night before). I think it really is a big help because there is no guessing wondering what to eat and if I have the calories for it.
-
it is really what is best for you and how your body reacts. For example oatmeal doesn't keep me full at ALL. My favorite breakfast that keeps me full until lunch is scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and half and avocado. It is super protein packed but light so I don't feel weighed down.

This is great! I was thinking of making homemade chicken stock today because I have a rotisserie chicken carcass I wanted to use up.
-
I take pictures of the things I make too!!! I love to be able to look back and see all the things I've made, and grab inspiration from past meals!!! Edit: here is my folder!

I am an egg freak so for me breakfast isn't complete without eggs. You can make breakfast sandwiches. I make them at the beginning of the week and wrap them individually in plastic wrap and freeze them. I have made them with all kinds of toppings. - High fiber English muffin, sargento ultra thin cheese slice, egg (or…

I love to make a fritatta at the beginning of the week that I can portion out so on busy morning I can just reach into my fridge, grad a slice & pop it in the microwave. Yesterday I made a smoke salmon & kale frittata. I used egg whites, light soy milk, trader joes smoke salmon & sauted chopped kale and onions. Portioned…
