After changing my goals to 1lb per week I'm still allotted 1200 calories. My projected weight loss hasn't changed either. Damn im mucking up somehow.

I'm down as "active" , but as I am 4ft 8 and 112lbs ( which gives me a bmi of 25: overweight ) that's why my calorie intake is set so low. I have a bmr of about 1600 last I checked. I'll stop logging my work as exercise now. This may even mean I'm eating slightly over my suggest daily calories! Thanks everyone.

Firstly, thank you everyone for your replies. Very helpful as always. Secondly, @erickirb: If my activity is active due to work, would you suggest that I shouldn't log my work activity on top of each day? Is it already considered in my MFP daily stats? I've been wondering if I should be adding the 700 calories a day or if…

Ah, I see. Thank you! lol

Thanks dpenloza! I'm not 100% on what I'm burning. So I have purchased a pedometer and I'll probably get a slightly more accurate just logging my steps taken and using that to calculate my burned calories. Working 6 hour days as a maid IS very tough, but there will always be easier days than others so once the pedometer…

Lets say you've not managed to commit to the gym yet ( ahem ) would drinking protein shakes like " For Goodness Shakes " for example help at all?

My reward will be fitting into my old size 6 jeans which I adored. I worse those puppies every day for the ONE year I weighed my ideal weight. The day I fit into them again I'll probably cry with sheer happiness. Sad.

Its nice to see your not like me and panic straight away! I hope in time I will manage to calm down about my intake. I must remember it takes me weeks or months of overeating to gain the lbs back, not one day!

Ah what a relief. Ive just read a tonne of articles that claim this and it might be difficult for me to achieve so Im glad to I can just stick to my calorie watching and eat when Im hungry!

I don't know how you all dealt with it. Im going crazy here since last Saturday. Weighed myself when I came home. Still 8 stone. Thats only 5 days but my mood is growing worse and worse. I feel really immature now moaning after only 5 days. But my diet and lifestyle have improved so much and I don't know why its happening!…

Miqisha, thank you. I may pop into the gym at work. It will save time to just go downstairs after work and get it done before I go home. So thats a plus. And its only £30 a year staff discount! I really should do it. ( and also thank you to the previous poster to suggest weights )

Great. I've been allotted 1200 and also burn around 700 a day. However, Ive been stupidly leaving like 800 calories a day because its a bit of a rush to cope on so few calories. ( ex Anorexic ) But I've been reading all night and have seen many people say you need to eat as much as your guided to and you will lose more…

Due to the hip problem ( perthes ) I find gym sessions of any kind really too much. Even just weights. I work as a maid and that's at least 5 full hours of vigorous cleaning. I took the job purely for the fact that I could stay active and earn money a the same time. I tried gym on top of it and couldn't get out of bed due…

I'm 4 ft 8 so don't worry I actually am really short! The last time I went to the hospital was 7 stone and very proud of myself. I was excited to see if he'd comment. But, he said just as I left: " Your looking great, by the way. Just try not to put any more on " .... Ruined my day. lol

If you have ALWAYS nibbled at night, changing that will be really difficult. I know myself! Previously I would have dinner at 10-ish ( when my partner returns from work ) and then we'd both nibble sweets and crisps until the wee hours! So recently I've simply been eating a very small lunch, a small ( 600 calorie or so )…

I'm on 1200 a day too. However, as Im a maid and walk for 60 mins to and back to work all in, I burn around 700 calories a day so it goes up to 1900, 5 days a week. ( roughly ) In order to make the 1200 on its OWN work, I've had to completely cut all sweets and sodas. I now mostly eat just savoury if possible and only…

I'm so used to constant weight loss. I used to buy Zantrex 3 when I started "dieting". Because of the water weight drop, I would see myself steadily lose and lose for at least 2 weeks. All artificial of course! As soon as I stopped taking, them I'd put it all back on ( usually a whole stone ) with a couple of lbs to boot!…

And another thing: The moment I made this thread I caved and weighed. Exactly 8 stone. haha

Wow what a lot of great replies that I didn't see coming! Thank you all very much. I've been 8 stone since Saturday. However, it wasn't until Sunday that my trainers started rubbing against my ankles - causing massive blisters on both ankles! So I figure my trainers are looser around my Cankles ( haha ) meaning I've lost…

I like that I have a natural talent for learning most things thrown my way. ( Musical instrumentals, for example ) I dislike that I have a TERRIBLE gut instinct. I make bad decisions regularly.
