  • OMG! Are you serious?? My jaw dropped when I read that! WOW.. I am speechless..
  • I agree with everybody. Strength training is so important and the sooner you start it the better. I started my weight loss off just doing cardio. I did lose weight just fine. However, when I started really getting into strength training is when I really started seeing and feeling a difference in my body. I feel strong and…
  • Great Job! You look Awesome!
  • I have a polar and love it dearly. :o) I think it's accurate enough. Even if the calories are off by a little, I am still able to do a fair comparison between exercises, which I otherwise wouldn't be able to. For some reason it's very motivating to me to see numbers. I don't know why but it does.
  • 600-800 (not including if we eat out, which is rare) a month for a family of 4
  • Great Job!!
  • LOVE LOVE LOVE my scale.. Worth every cent!
  • Thanks for posting this!! I am FREEZING all the time and ti's good to know there is a reason why!!
  • WOW!! Thank You for posting! Congratulations!!
  • I know exactly what you are going through with the sabotaging. Anyway to answer the question at hand. I weight myself once a day sometimes twice because I like looking for trends. Personally I don't think it matters as long as you weigh yourself every once in awhile to make sure you are on track with your goals. I agree…
  • I always seem to binge in social situations. I go in prepared ready not to eat anything bad and end up out eating everybody there. At home when I am in my routine I usually can stop myself. Not sure why I can't hold myself accountable when friends and family are around.
  • I kind of have this problem as well and I know a few things you can try. For me it was Sciatica. After asking around I got some advice to get the proper shoes. So I went to a running store (not like sporting good store, but a real running store) and they helped me find out the right shoes.. A good store will have people…
  • I am in the same boat. After losing 50 pounds I am at a complete stop. I eat about 1500 calories (mostly healthy), cut out most sugar, and I am working out 6-8 hours a week. (two hours being strength training classes at the YMCA) . I am racking my brain what I need to do in order to get back on track. A lot of people are…
  • when I cut sugar out of my diet I used splenda as a temporary crutch to get me over the hump. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to agree with me and I was sick to my stomach everyday I used it. In my personal opinion, anything that artificial really shouldn't be used on a regular basis. I agree with posts above of using low…
  • for the record. I realize I worded my original post poorly. I know a pound is a pound is a pound no matter what the substance. In my head I was thinking a cup of muscle would weigh more than a cup of fat. it is density. However, my point was how much muscle weight could one gain in a week. Thanks for the posts confirming…
  • Thanks! I thought it was highly unlikely that one would gain two pounds of muscle in short amount of time. People just say that to make ya feel better I guess. I am not doing any hard core training either. At my gym I am doing a few "powerflex" classes that are pretty challenging. I have been doing it for like 12 weeks or…
