I agree.. Thanksgiving dinner will be fine.. It's the meals before and after. Although usually delicious they do not fit my food plan. It's usually bagels and pizza or quick foods to feed a crowd.

These are the things that help me. Decide when you are going to exercise during the week. That is an appointment with yourself. So nothing less than an emergency should stop you from going.. My unbreakable rule.. no matter what crap is going on in my life. DO NOT BREAK ROUTINE. Do not break routine. do not break…

My favorite healthy dessert is the banana ice cream.. peel and cut up a banana and put in the freezer.. After it's frozen you can blend in a food processor and it's perfectly sweet on it's own.. You can add coco powder, vanilla, coconut, peanut butter or whatever ya want.. I love coco powder. If you do it in a blender…

I do not believe in the everything in moderation philosophy either. Many friends and family think i am crazy for thinking this. Everybody knows themselves well enough to know what are their trigger foods and the foods that are of no quality. I have noticed the people who believe in moderation the most usually just dont…

I've had a few comments on similar lines. I pretty much blow them off... they just can't understand it until they do it..

somebody here turned me onto the Nike App. It's awesome. if you have barbells you should be able to do just about all the exercises. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nike-training-club/id301521403?mt=8

For breakfast I have avocado toast. I mash half of a small avocado on toast. Next I put a scrambled egg white on top with some salsa. Very yummy. I also like using a half avocado mix with beans tuna and salsa

I am going to avoid it only because I am watching what I eat. It sounds good.. I love bacon. Although if I were to splurge and eat something like this I too would like a bit of a higher quality dessert then BK's version.

Go two weeks without sugar and the cravings will just about disappear.. It's rough those first few days but it's totally doable.

I signed up for my first Spartan Sprint in July. I am so excited. Unfortunately, I have no idea how difficult they are just yet. I kind of forced my husband to sign up for it as well. He isn't exactly training for it and I am a bit concerned might not be ready. Can you do burpees? I heard if you can't get through an…

I like Dr OZ but he is a sell out. I wish he would quit wasting his talents on a worthless show. Anybody can be a tv host, not everybody can be a doctor. I think he could serve the world better going back to being a heart surgeon.

I had the same kind of issues with Splenda.. have you been eating any artificial sweeteners? Does it have it in the protein powder?

Yup.. I was a sugar junkie. I have read that if you take out your diet for 2 weeks your cravings will go away.. It was very hard especially the first few days.. But it worked. not only did it work for sweets it also just cut my cravings in general. So I just cut it out completely.. (I mean I still have ketchup and stuff…

I have had 9 sessions with my trainer. It has been absolutely wonderful experience.. My trainer is a complete professional and her philosophy with health is inline with my own. I could get the same results on my own if I wanted to invest the time and effort researching workout plans. The benefit of having the trainer is…

My major weakness is social situations. As long as I am in my routine I am okay.. However, when I am in a fun setting where everybody is just eating and drinking it's hard not to snack on those delicious foods.. When I do keep to my goals and not eat the food, sometimes i get a guilt trip from the people around me. Kind of…

I have been doing well for about 9 months. Before then it was on and off again with my diets, so i completely understand where you are coming from. For me personally I had to rearrange my life so that when I do start to lose focus my environment and friends are there to get me back on. Some things I set up are simple…

Thanks for the responses! I am not diabetic and I do not know of any thyroid issues. I am on the computer a lot. However, I only feel the tingling when I am exercising. could they still be related?

LOL. I was talking to my husband about this. We have a person at our gym who teaches classes. She seems very knowledgeable about technique. However, she is a good 30 pounds overweight. The one class I take with her, is called powerflex which is basically weight training. she shows up how to do the exercise and then stops…

I didn't have one "Aha" moment. I knew I was gaining weight. A few things triggered me.. First my mom wrote me an email saying how concerned she was about me. Two I no longer had any clothes that actually fit me. When I had to buy a size 20and it was really tight, I knew I had to do something. I was at a cross roads in my…

I watched a little while ago. It's very inspiring. I don't think long term fasting is for me, but I would like to juice for supplemental meal or short fast. Unfortunately I can't justify buying a juicer right now.. someday I will though.

I am very fortunate with my schedule so I am able to go workout in the morning while my kid are in school. The key for me personally is to get it out of the way before life happens. Then it's done and I have the rest of the day. It's like an important appointment I have with myself. If my friend want to go out for…
