Motivate yourself by thinking "I won't have a slice now, but I'll make myself some tasty xxx when I get home/treat myself to a lovely xxx on Saturday". I cannot do this while denying myself to eat the good stuff, I only eat smaller portions and not so often.

I have the same issue. After I started counting calories and making choices, I barely reach 1200 calories a day. Even on days like today where I ate a big breakfast and lunch and have planned what to eat for dinner.

The C25K program is actually quite fun, once you're done with the running. When I started out 6 weeks ago, I barely made the first run, today I ran 2 x 10 minutes! It's still slow, but I can see and feel the progress. I really recommend it to people who want to start running.

I'm sick and home with a flu, but that didn't stop me for going out and finishing W6D2 in the C25K program! Sort of annoyed, as I've been under 1200 cals for a couple of days now, and gotten into a habit of filling up on chocolate. (Only small pieces, but still!)

I usually just overestimate the salad and grees, as there are too few calories for me to care about. For example, the bag of salad mix is 50 grams, I grab a handfull and put 30 grams into mfp, that's 5 calories. Couple of slices of cucumbers or paprika? I put in 10 grams, that's 1 or 3 calories.
