This is really how I am thinking too...this needs to be a life change, NOT a diet! I have been making non drastic changes so I can adjust to them -rather than go cold turkey no carb like my husband does. He loses 15 lbs in 2 weeks but then completely falls off the wagon within a month cause he cannot maintain it.

That is also what I do on my 15 minute breaks at work. We have 30 steps to upstairs offices and I jog up and down them very briskly 3 times then I walk the rest of the time to cool off. I have to really overdress to be comfortable in our office so I usually end up jogging the stairs in a sweater and a vest over it...LOL…

I am with skylark. If I try to take something away, it will just make my inner self rebel even more. I am just counting and am much more aware of what I am putting in. Also trying to make a bigger effort at getting on the elliptical at night and getting off the chair I am attached to for 10 hours a day during my breaks.
