  • It's a balancing act for each person. You have to find out the right amount of food to eat, the right balance of Protein/Carb/fat etc for your body and the right amount of lifting. But the Lifting is the key. In order to turn the fat to muscle and keep the weight the same, you just have to lift!
  • I put a small scoop of protein powder in my oatmeal for breakfast. I also use real Greek Yogurt and mix with fresh or frozen fruit. (cuts cown on cost, waste and added chemicals too). even the non-fat has WAY more protein than regular. The protein powder can be mixed into loads of things, there are tons of recepes online…
  • Keep up the good work! Just think how easy it will be to turn a caber with less belly and more muscles!!
  • First DO NOT weigh yourself daily. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. Most people start really fast and then slow down a bit. That is normal. When you get stuck at the same weight for several weeks, then, you might want to change things up. For now, you're doing great. Try weighing in once a week, same day, same…

  • Cardio: Zumba Weight lifting: Squats unlimate: training for Highland Games!!
  • Try to also track other measurements. Your weight loss may have stopped, but are you trading fat for muscle? Are you incorportating weight lifting into your exercise? More muscle will help you to burn more fat. Do you measure your waiste/hips and other measurements? Are your pants fitting looser? It could be that you are…
  • I use BodyMedia fit. It calculates by heat generated in your body. As well as a bunch of other things. I'm just curious, when you put on the BB the first time, was it that day that it took the low numbers for your spinning class? Some of the body monitors need to regulate for a couple of days to a new body. I'd wear it for…
  • Weight at any given time can depend on a whole lot of things. What did you eat that day? Was there a lot of salt (water retention)? Or not a enough fiber? Did you drink enough water? Did you eat more carbs than normal? Is Aunt Tilly (my grammy's pet name for your period) coming to visit? Was there a full moon? This is why…
  • I'm just curious, what are you doing for excercise? That is the key to losing size more than losing weight. I'm a bit taller than you but I can tell you I lost 30 lbs. and one size just eating more healthy. I lost 2 sizes and about 10 lbs. exercising. While a pound of muscle weighs the same amount as a pound of fat... It…
  • Think of your body like a car for a minute. If you're just running errands around town, you need a small amount of gas (food). If you're on an all day drive through steep mountains, you need more gas. While it shouldn't be a calorie in-calorie out amount, your body may need a bit more fuel so that it is burning fat (gas)…
