I count anything more than 30 mins walking. Yes, running burns more.

Ya, I would of done the same thing! I was running last week and a HUGE bear popped out. I live in the country and run the back roads. I am used to seeing deer, I think there is a doe with her fawn right near the bear encounter so when I saw the weeds moving, I didn't think anything of it BUT a bear walked out. I stopped…

Congrats... on the road to seeing the 130's again!

I am average. 136.4 this morning! Your post caught my eye because my goal was 137 when I start MFP.

I agree with everyone above. Start by following the times and not worrying about distance. Maybe do one more day at your current day then move on :) I did C2k and am not training for half marathon. I did my first 5k in 31 mins but every time I have increased speed (have my 4th this weekend). I am expecting to be in the 28…

I am 5'3. Today my calories r set for 1500 and I eat back most of my exercise calories. I am losing about 1/2 pounds a week. I am 137 now and want to get down to 135 or 130... We shall see since I am happy where I am. I am also training for half marathon so weight isnt as important. I started here in Feb, I set MFP to lose…

My BMR is around 1700. My goal is 1500 and I eat back exercise. I am close to maintenance but when I was losing, I was set to 1300 and ate those cals back!

I have read that a HRM is only accurate for cardio type exercise because of the calculations. For a better estimate you would need a body bug or body fit media. I only have a HRM and only wear it for jogging.

I am a huge nerd. I have more books than shoes and I have ALOT of shoes :) I would say Atlas Shrugged because it opened my eyes to a different way of thinking. I would list the reasons but until you read the book, most don't understand and I would come off as a very selfish idpndividual which I am not :flowerforyou:

Did u get fitted after your long run? I would try that. The running store always tells me I need a 7 but I always go with 7.5 because my toes go numb in 7's. You may also. E tying your shoes too tight near the toes. Search runners world for some different ways to tie. Good luck!

great quote!

I have seen a few ladies on here pregnant. If I were you, I would figure out your TDEE (fat2fitradio.com) then add 500 calories to that. I remember reading something when I was pregnant that the body needs 500 more for baby.

^^^^^ PRINT THAT PICTURE!!!!! Sorry, I was yelling that. You are so pretty hon. I am not just saying that, you really are. I am a 33 yr, corporate working mom. I have to tell myself "fake it til you make it" sometimes. I am really an introvert by nature so somedays when I have to get all dolled in my business suit/ make…

I had the Paraguard IUD for a few years. I got it taken out about a year ago when I got my tubes tied. Overall I liked it. The cramps and flow were MUCH heavier than when I was on BCP. I would do it again though because I didn't like the pill at all.
-
You were me last year! Heck even this year. This is what helped me... 1. Good running shoes that I was fitted for 2. Not running every day. Only every other. 3. Upping my calories so I could give my all when I did run Good luck. I am training for a half marathon this fall :)

eat! The reason that I was 20 lbs heavier was that I ate only 1200 calories and burned 300 with exercise a day during the week then I would be a couch potatoe that everything on the weekend. I am only 5'3! I am almost to goal and eat around 1700 cals, never plateaued. Good luck!

Awesome results!

yep, that happens to me as well.

Have fun! Start out slow and try not to get confused at the start when everyone is crowded together. Find a pace u feel comfortable with after the crowd breaks up then just run! I am sure this won't be your last. My husband is running with me in a few weeks and I am so excited for him to have his first. I will always…
