Okay the xrays yesterday showed only soft tissue damage, no breaks/fractures, so I'm on instructions to rest for a week and take a boatload of anti-inflammatories to reduce the swelling, but yay I can try running again next week! Boooo, I missed by <5km. I didn't pull up well after my fast run on Dec 30 so wasn't able to go out on Dec 31. But I came really close to my goal (95.5 km of 100!) and will try again in January!

5.00 miles/8.05 km this morning! I remember three months ago, running 5 miles in 49-something minutes, I wanted to die, and I couldn't walk for two hours afterwards. Today I ran 5 miles in 47-something minutes and was only running moderately hard and felt fine at the end. Yay progress!
