It happens to me every time I go on vacation. I gain about 10 lbs in one week and it takes several months to lose it. It's so frustrating.

I know exactly what you're faced with. It's buying season where I work and there are loads of cookies laying around. I always tell myself 'I can have a couple cookies if I really want them, but that means I can't have _________ (fill in the blank) later. Today I had two cookies (55 cals each).

I'm so exhausted from the weekend I missed today's workout. Week 4 I burned 4,514.

Hey Jalepeño Hotties! I'm at 3,310 as of yesterday, still have today and tomorrow. I can't believe week 4 is already ending; it has flown by!

Gosh, I hope she's alright now. When days are that hectic (going to bed around 2 - 3am) getting enough sleep trumps making time for working out.

Had a heck of a week... food poisoning, getting stepped on by a stelletto while wearing sandals (OUCH! foot is black and blue), should spasm during spinning, then a Charlie Horse in the middle of the night but still managed to burn 3,765 calories... mostly walking though. My body has been through a lot this week.

Oh no! Strep is horrible. Definitely take it easy eat lots of frozen yogurt with live cultures; feel better soon.

Spinning burns 500 cals in 45 mins. On my days off from the gym I walk part way to and from work in addition to walking for 1/2 an hour on my lunch just to get some fresh air. For a total of 90 mins burning approx 400 cals. On weekends I'm busy walking around the city exploring or going for a bikeride in addition to 1 or 2…

I got food poisoning last night and still feel rough. Not sure when I'll be able to resume my exercise. I hope I can make my missed sessions up later in the week.

I'm on 1,200 also... but I always end up around 1,300 sometimes more, so I end up eating a portion of my exercise calories. On a good day I'll have: breakfast - 280 lunch - 280 snacks - fruit, coffee w/ milk, or tea w/ milk up to 100 dinner - 400 to 500 wine - 65

(oops! forgot to quote someone's suggestion of poached eggs!) I love poached eggs!!! hmmm... reminds me of eggs florentine or eggs royal. Why does hollandaise sauce have to be so bad?!

I don't believe there is a sixth sense. I think our subconscious minds pick up on subtle things such as body language without us realising it... eventually as more information is gathered via the subconscious we end up with what is called a gut instinct or sixth sense.

They sell oatmeal here; it's called porridge. I suggest that whatever you are doing now stick to it as close as possible. You can pretty much get everything here you can get back home. Everything is more expensive, so that may deter you from overindulging (ex: why would you want to spend $8.00 on a slice of pizza, or $5.00…

LA Tortilla Factory are brilliant and offer a wide range; low carb, low fat, low sodium, different sizes. In general their tortillas are half the sodium of other brands. I'm sad we don't get them here in the UK (I'm originally from LA so I know good tortillas) and the Mission ones have way to many questionable ingredients…

I've noticed I lose when I don't eat them back. When I eat them back I don't lose, but this could be because I only have 10 lbs to lose. I'm 5'1" and 120 lbs.

Maybe try to not eat back your exercise calories for a few weeks and see how that goes.

Are you avoiding carbs for dinner? Because even if you workout on an empty stomach you should still have glucose in your system to burn instead of amino acids.

It's just your body breaking down amino acids in your system for energy. From what I've read this usually happens on low carb diets. Drinking water helps, but so does eating more carbs.

It looks like you are averaging out 1800 calories a day. That is maintenance calories for the average person of your height and weight. Maybe... don't eat back your exercise calories, or set your calorie burn rate for someone who is sedentary and eat only some exercise calories back.

What's your diet look like? How many calories are you eating? Are you eating back your exercise calories in addition to having your calorie intake calculated for someone other than sedentary?

Well you got at least two bites so far : ) I can do about 10 as well. This will do wonders for evening our my pear-shaped body.

I use to be team more, but found I was only maintaining instead of losing. Guess I didn't have the right balance. Now I'm team less, but I still exercise most days... just not doing the super killer exercise sessions as often.

Gweneth Paltrow has a recipe on her website for Baja shrimp tacos using corn tortillas. I've made this recipe a few times; they're soooo yummy! They're nice with scrambled eggs too.
