I work out at home, usually mid-day, since I cannot commit to getting out of the house (and with a 6 month old and 3 year old, I don't want to put them in a gym daycare, especially this time of year!) And my husband's schedule is unpredictable and by the end of the night, I just want to pick up the house and relax. I can…

I read about that when I started low-carb. I started doing the 4-Hour Body and moved more to just low-carb, but still keep the cheat day. So any cravings (mainly pizza and chocolate) I still get so I don't need/want it during the week. In fact, I have a carb hangover - which often feels like a real hangover if I consume…

Actually, carbs are not needed in your diet (nor is sugar). Your body and brain need fat and protein to produce energy. Hence, why low-carb diets are not low-fat (and often times low-fat are high in sugar - including dairy) ETA: I am very picky but it is easy and lots of variety out there eliminating foods that are not…

I never, I mean never thought I could give up carbs. Then 3-4 days of low carb (and practically no sugar) and your cravings go away. Get them out of your house so you can't snack on them. I do low-carb 6 days a week and eat carbs every Saturday. We eat out only so the carbs are not in the house for cravings. Sugar will…

As others have mentioned, KBs are strength and cardio. It is a total body workout if done correctly. I do it 4x a week and hope to soon add in yoga for a good stretch 2x a week. Wrist guards are very helpful to prevent wrists being beat up. I have bad wrists and I've found this is a great workout for me (I do the skogg…

I log mine as cardio and enter manually. It burns on average 1200 cals per hour - sparkpeople has a calculator for kettlebells. I also wear a HR monitor and it's HIGH during the workouts. I am pretty sure I'm burning the 200-300 in 15 minutes. Love to have some Kettlebell buddies - please add me as a friend! I need the…

I have had two knee surgeries and LOVE KBs! I do The Skogg system at home and LOVE it. I considered a class, but with two kids and a husband that has a funky schedule, it's easy to squeeze in a 15 min workout at home! Feel free to add me as a buddy! I need workout motivations!

I have had a 25 lb KB for a few months now and did some youtube videos. I just wasn't motivated. I got a smaller KB 15 lbs and got The Skogg System and just started. His 101 teaches you proper form - which I was doing wrong even after reading and watching how to do it. He is motivating and it's a quick workout. I'm doing…

Is there an benefit to Casein powder vs protein powder (Isopure Natural) with Almond milk and peanut butter that would slow down absorption as well?

When we consumed carbs, we use rice for a lot of things as a side mainly. Dump Chicken recipes are wonderful served over rice. http://whenthedinnerbellrings.blogspot.com/2011/06/super-easy-way-to-getting-meals-ready.html Just watch your rice consumption as it's been in the news lately with warnings about arsenic.

Thanks! I went to the store tonight and picked up a jar of Smuckers. That was the best one at the store. I also picked up unsweetened cocoa and made a shake tonight with my plant fusion (randomly had after my SIL recommended it and it was on the ok list) and added the cocoa and a dash of cinnamon and it was awesome! I'm…

How do you feel your shakes fit in the program? I just ordered the Isopure Natural Unflavored and plan to add unsweetened cocoa or Natural PB since that was on the list. BTW, Is there a recommended PB that is just peanuts and water and no sugar? Otherwise I have to go to the Fresh Market since they have a nut grinder to…

During the Inferno plan, did you use shakology? I don't know that I can justify the money on the shake...
