My first response, find another Dr. While I am not a Dr and wouldn't tell you to have or not have the surgery, I have seen many many people have issues with it. Some even life threatening. I know you're morbidly obese but that can all be changed one baby step at a time. From my own personal experience: I had my Dr tell me…

I have that same issue. I look at my belly and all the "dimples" and think ... at least when I was 300+lbs it was all tight and smooth. Keep pushing on, it's something we'll have to deal with for a bit, but as you said, it is for the better.

From a gym employees perspective: Not re-racking....sure I don't mind the exercise of the 45 discs but my weak *kitten* can't lift the 120 lb dumbbells...well, not yet Leaving towels all around the gym...I get my steps in for the day but I don't want to touch your sweaty, nasty towel...there is a basket for that Weak…

I always yawn and if they yawn, I know they are looking. Then I smile and wave. I'm working on me who give a **** if they want to look at my fat *kitten*. I'll be small soon enough but they will always be rude.

Not quite at 100 - 93 right now - but I was doing a circuit with my lifting portion being "heavy". What I mean is I'll do 15 minutes on bike to warm up a little then work on 1 routine for whatever day I have- ie upper body lifting with 8 to 10 reps per exercise. In between each exercise, I'd do something cardio like…

Awesome on all the hard work.

Bought the flex yesterday and have been trying ever since to get it set up. NOTHING. I'm computer savy and still can't get it to work. Have even followed to the letter, Fitbit's website instructions NOTHING. I do believe I will be returning it!

I picked one up yesterday at BB but can't get the stupid thing loaded onto my Fitbit connect so I can use it. I'm pretty computer savy but nothing. I even looked at ALL of the trouble shooting stuff Fitbit has and NOTHING. I am considering taking it back to BB.

I have a membership to both PF and AF. I prefer the AF since it's smaller and feels more welcoming. I always feel like a cow when I go to PF because it's just so big and everything is all lined up and such. I would recommend doing a 7day trial to Anytime. They have a trial pass you can get. http://www.anytimefitness.com/…

Sound advice. I need to up my protein but other than that, I've followed this logic with much success.

Welcome to our group. Congrats on your success so far and best wishes on your continued success.

This is a great idea. Unfortunately, I don't have any at this moment but would love to do it in the future. I have found that getting rid of the clothes as soon as I can no longer wear them makes me stay motivated as I don't want to walk around town naked..lol

You are doing great. I am so very proud of you and all your hard work.

Hi, I started out at 308 in January of 2012. When I started out, I couldn't walk across a room without having to stop to breath. I was type 2 diabetic and took BP pills along with hypothyroid meds. I will never get off the synthroid because it's damaged but I have been able to remove the insulin and half the BP pills. When…

I get weird looks in the gym by most of the guys because of how much I lift. As for friends and family they think it's weird, except my brother and his lifting pals. He and his friends do it competitively and they think it's cool that I'm not scared to lift. Hubby like it because he does it with me.

So true!

This is so true. I have 2 memberships. One is at Planet Fitness and the other is an Anytime Fitness. PF seems to be all kinds of people. When I first started going I was in the 300's and would notice people looking. I was put off at 1st but when I realized I was there FOR ME and not to impress them, I stopped caring. Now,…

Awesome. You are right, it's the little changes that come together to make a big change.

I take Cellucor's Super HD, Cellucor's CLA, One-A-Day for Women, Caltrate Calcium +Vitamin D, and Fiber Choice Fiber supplements (chewable). I do feel more energy but I think it's mainly from the Cellucor. I was taking Betancourt's Ripped Juice with Betancourt's Betanox (pre-workout) but timed out of it. You taken it for 8…

I've been taking 88MCG for about 2 years now.

Sounds like everyone is doing well so far. One small change at a time is definitely the way to go. Keep it up everyone.

MFP does help greatly in weight loss. I have great friends and great support.

Hi, I'm new to the group. I started trying to loose in January 2011. I had allowed myself to get into the 300 range. My largest recorded weight was 308 but I'm sure I made it into the 320's. I'm only Five Two. I recently hit 80 lost and feel good and defeated at the same time. I see the 80 gone but then think that at a…
