yes, i've tried it. it was a part of an eating disorder i had several years ago that lasted a couple years. i lost a lot of weight, and actually landed in the hospital due to severe kidney infections, and that's when i knew something had to change. i gained weight back FAST, even with small adjustments, and then some, and…

it is very important to replenish glycogen after totally depleting it from your muscles. although protein is the building material for muscle, without any glycogen, protein becomes the source for fuel (catabolism). high levels of cortisol is associated with catabolism which obstructs the rebuilding of muscle protein by…

yup. only okay if you're sedentary. and if you're not (if you're active/if you work out), i HIGHLY recommend carbing more than once every 7- 10 days, to keep you OUT of ketosis. when I'm tryin to cut weight, I carb cycle every 3rd or 4th day. and even on my "low-carb" days, my net carbs are still between 30 and 60g.

tomatoes and avocados are fruits, not vegetables, and are usually eaten uncooked anyway. same with cucumbers and any kind of pea, but they're generally considered a vegetable. (sorry, just a pet peeve of mine). personally? if its just "a side of vegetable" then i'll usually at least steam it. otherwise, no, i'm not just…

I DEFINITELY need this app, and thank you very much for sharing, but the truth is, I would probably end up just throwing my phone.

encourage a challenge between him and "the guys". egg it on. encourage them to make a bet. men are competitive creatures.

Spoon. Slender up top, small tas tas, decent waist, but a, uh, bodacious bottom half.

Sweetheart, I was anorexic and bulimic when I was 18-21 years old. I can spot it a mile away. Please start considering getting some help.

i would have asked him "do have any kind of mental disability"? and when he answered "no", i would have said "well, you obviously possess a lot of the traits and behaviors that are indicative of a mental disorder. are you sure?".

yup. if its bad BEFORE marriage, then think about how bad it'll be AFTER getting married. pssssst red flag.

stick to seaweed wrapped instead of rice wrapped when it comes to rolls, and obviously nothing tempura style. as for sashimi (just the fish), NOTHING wrong with that!!!! (and actually is GREAT for you!)

i honestly don't recommend switching to a substitute that is still just nothing but empty calories. you're craving for chips will never go away, and you're not doing anything to change your tastes in support of making healthful, nutritional choices. my advice?.. stay away from the baked or lower fat chips, stay away from…

however, let me amend my previous post.. i'll usually just add 100 or 200 cals onto my daily total if i don't feel like looking up how many calories are in a zucchini or half a bunch of asparagus or in all the greens in my lunch salad. i have a general idea of the cal contents in vegs, and sometimes i log everything,…

same thing happens to me if i try tanning in a tanning bed. i stopped trying to tan 5 years ago, best decision i've ever made for my skin.

are you eating the same exact things every day? doing the same exact excercise every day? mix things up. incorporate more variety in your diet. confuse your muscles. try that first. if that's not it, then just eat more of what you're currently eating, since it seems to work for you.
-
i have to disagree with you. the bigger rollercoaster ride my blood sugar takes, the hungier i am. more fat and protein and a generally lower GI diet leaves me waaaaaaay more satisfied.
-
because they, unlike our fat arses, know portion control and eat cleaner (waaaaay less processed foods, better balanced.)
-
funny, i say the same thing about meat. (p.s... meat was eaten by humans long before grains were ever introduced into the human diet.)
-
fine then... "refeeds". better? not saying that a half gallon of ice cream or a whole deep dish pizza is anything to be excused, but when i'm cutting weight, i carb cycle, and yes, sometimes i refer to my "refeed" days as "cheat" days, because its not like everyone will understand or know what i'm talking about if i say…

Let yourself have what you want on holidays, for cryin out loud. But, don't continue eating once you're full. Stretching your stomach will not do you any favors the following couple days. Holidays are holidays for a reason. Just pick up where you left off the next day, and don't be so manic.

personally, getting better and letting my body heal and fight its bug is more important to me than burning a few hundred calories.

right, it was my understanding that she doesn't.
