its POSSIBLE, but its not easy nor maintainable and is usually accompanied by an eating disorder. will very likely result in kidney issues, especially if we're talking about women. been there. done that. about 80% of my calories were coming from protein, and i was sticking to a 1200 calorie a day diet. it was a full blown…

because they don't know what they're talking about. the end.

sounds AWESOME. i'm gonna need to make myself some. i also have some friends that i would like to make some for that would probably think its the most amazing stuff in the world.

jalapeno lime jam???!! seriously???!! this sounds like my kind of thing!!!! i've never heard of this, but i LOVE jalapenos and i LOVE limes. now i need to know... what do you put it on? tacos and the like?

you need to eat some fat along with your protein for optimal absorption. why do you think natural protein sources are commonly accompanied by fat? protein is great for satiety, yes, but having *some* fat along with your protein greatly increases satiety. i would be starving after nothing but egg whites too! have a yolk or…

if you're making up the name, making up the spelling of the name, using a word for a name that is not meant to be the name of a human being, or its just generally stupid, then i will not like it and i will probably hate it and i will feel really bad for your kid. that being said, i don't like to give out my list.

you only started just yesterday. one day of only 626 calories i would consider a fast. eating under 1200 a day is not maintainable. one day won't kill you. a lot of people do occasional fasts for a variety of reasons. but to answer your question-- yeah, under 1200 a day is bad.

^^^THIS. ANYTHING can be an addiction. ANYTHING.

i plugged those in myself. you can set your macro percentages to whatever you want.

meditation for ME is nothing more than "zoning out" in relaxation. i "meditate" a few times a day... in the morning when i'm having my cup of coffee on my balcony-- i watch the sky, listen to the birds, let my mind go where it wills. when i'm cooking-- i am soooooo relaxed when i'm cooking. in the shower-- its as if i have…

^^yup. unless you have kidney issues, have at it. :)

lol, about 40% of my calories come from protein every day. you really can't "OD" on protein. protein = GOOD.

general concensus here is to ingore that. MFP sets sugar limits really low for some reason. i took sugar out of my diary settings and replaced it with sodium. i have an apple and a glass of milk every day and those two things alone put me over 28g of sugar. my personal settings for carbs/fat/protein is 30%carbs, 30%fat,…

lol, unless you're getting your vitamin/mineral RDA (which differs based on sex, age, certain conditions, ect) from food only, then no, energy does not simply JUST equal calories. also, there is a lot of food that will make you more tired after eating it. sorry, i'm going to disagree with you within the context of her…

a really good daily vitamin, one that has plenty of all the B's.

you guys are so adorable.

please tell me where i claimed to be able to dx/treat someone as if i was a doctor. all i said was that i know gluten sensitivity exists because i have it- i was advised to cut gluten because of certain ailments and it worked. the only reason my education/professional background was ever brought into this was because it…

that's a good point you bring up. though you can get the shot and still contract the flu, if you do contract a flu virus, its extremely likely that your symptoms won't be as severe. my first flu shot wasn't until my early-mid 20's, and i usually got the flu every year, and it KICKED MY *kitten*. i've always been one of…
-
i have to get one because i work in healthcare. the flu SUCKS, i would recommend getting the shot, especially if you're a high risk person or at high risk of having severe complications should you contract it.

lol, ok.

no, that makes you an IT professional. let me guess, helpdesk?? sorry, but a MHA & BSHCA with a decade of acute, sub-acute and ancillary provider experience does indeed make me a "healthcare professional".
-
have no idea how this internet pissing match started. jeeze, all because i supported the OP by saying that gluten sensitivity is a real thing. man, some people really get their panties in a bunch over the silliest things, especially over things they refuse to understand or learn about.

seriously???? first of all, a hospital management company is basically saying i work for and at MANY hospitals, nationwide. my company only OWNS the freaking hospitals. second, you clearly have no idea what i do for a living or the education and experience that is required. but "whatevs".
-
lol. i'm a data analyst / business intelligence architect for a very large hospital management company. but whatevs.
