the only way I lose weight is if I make my calories count, not just count my calories. but, you're young.. if I eat 1400 calories of CRAP i will not lose weight. if I eat 1400 calories of nutrient dense and low glycemic sources of calories with a good amount of protein and quality fats, I WILL lose weight.

I've already logged everything I plan on eating tomorrow. Not too bad... just under 2,000 calories. But, game plan is just ENJOY THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its ONE day. Just don't make it a full season.

My dad is from New Zealand and didn't grow up with Thanksgiving, but has lived in the States for 35 years. Every year, my mom makes a lamb in addition to the turkey. Lamb being the traditional holiday meat that my dad grew up with, it only made sense lamb would be on the menu too. Its not simply "an American holiday where…

to really be able to provide some feedback, your diary would need to be opened. amount of calories is not everything, and is only a small piece of the story. where you're getting your calories from tells much more. headaches are a result of blood hormone levels. and those are not primarily influenced by how many calories…

its all relative. it has taken me almost a year to lose 9. my starting goal = 15. at your rate of loss, i would have lost my total goal of 15 a long time ago.

i usually find that the people who are on a 1200 calorie a day diet are the ones that are wanting to lose 2 pounds a week and don't understand that mfp defaults to a minimum of 1200 a day and many of them are wondering why they're not losing 2 pounds a week. these folks also usually don't know that its not just how many…

i WISH i could say that losing boobage was a problem for me... i never had anything to lose from that area to begin with.

if you're very concerned about saturated fat, don't be. its trans fat that are bad. that said, a low carb diet doesn't necessarily have to be a very high fat diet, or a high in "bad" fat diet. i live low carb (40-90 net a day depending on the day, but usually about 50 a day) and i get most my fat calories from nuts, fish,…

I would also like to point out that i see and hear so often "Marilyn Monroe was a size 14 and she was gorgeous and beautiful and curvy and society is effed up with regard to expectations of women today" bla bla bla. Uh, yeah, a size 14 when in her day is a standard size 6-8 now.

Old Navy is the WORST.

tonic is not calorie free, unless you're asking for diet tonic and they have it....

a spirit + non calorie mixer is what I do. examples: vodka + sugar free redbull voda + club soda + lime + splash of cranberry juice (neglegible increase in calories from the cranberry) whiskey + diet coke dark rum + diet coke any of the above + water i realize spirits are more expensive, but i don't really drink beer.

i do this to accomodate for high calorie days. however, the OP is already on a 1200 calorie diet as it is. eating 1200 calories for one day WOULD be a low calorie day in response to a high calorie day for me. so, to the OP: just get back to your normal thing.

yup.

are you pregnant? has your weight increased along with your stomach measurement? and, lastly, if you're really 17% body fat... then i can't take this too seriously. but yeah, strength train and up your protein. if you prefer not to eat protein, then i don't know what to tell ya.
-
not necessarily. it depends on what YOU CHOSE to eat instead of your meal replacement shakes.
-
the pink diet. you can only eat items that are pink.
-
just don't make netting 800 calories a habit. wouldn't want you to keel over at work or while driving or something.
-
you might feel okay TODAY, but you can't sustain yourself on that few of net calories for very long. net calories = total calories you've eaten for the day MINUS any calories burned from exercise (not daily activiities)

yup, you're the winner.

honestly, if you're going to get offended that you're being compared to a very beautiful woman, then this sounds like your problem, not theirs.

As the above poster said, unless you have kidney disease/kidney issues, you need not worry. I'm 150 lbs and I usually get 100 - 125g a day.
-
try to focus on on getting as much protein as you can (as well as a moderate amount of healthy fat--nuts/avocado/olive oil/ect. i usually get about 40g a day) while sticking to your calorie budget. everything else will fall into place. i would research high protein vegetarian recipes and substitutions. you'd be surprised…

if i'm hungry or feel i need the energy replenished, yes. if not, then no.

/sigh fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine. if you want to argue technicalities, olive oil is TECHNICALLY a "processed" food. i hate it when people do that. i'm sure you knew exactly what i meant. processed foods meaning pre-packaged, pre-made crap. shoot, i supposed you want to call me out that spices are…

not at all!!

honestly, if i'm low carbing it or i'm doing a carb reload, subway tastes generic, processed and bland to me.
